1st touch and player acceleration

Does anyone else find that the 1st touch when a player receives the ball is a bit odd at times and it takes a few strides for them to actually accelerate to full speed when they have the ball? I feel like Im controlling a car that needs to accelerate  Its kind of annoying at times and kills the fluidity of the game. I noticed its less noticable on +1 speed but then the game is too fast. It think Konami did this to discourage dribbling and to increase passing and teamwork.

To be clear, there is no "first touch" control in PES (as there is in FIFA) where you actually tell them which way to head/chest/foot the ball down towards, right?

Whats happens when u use R2? I thought it depended on how u receive the ball with the receiving player.

And with how I mean the direction of the ball and the direction ur are walking right after receiving it.

yes there is, tap "special controls button" and use directional stick to decide direction as you're about to receive a pass. The difficulty of the ball-trapping, whether it's height, hardness of pass or that you decide to trap it and turn in a very un-logical direction is calculated, and the player agility, technique and in some cases acceleration depends on how successful it is. Jumping might be relevant on higher balls.

The very same button is used to tap passes that are a little too long, just before the defender gets it, and you receive a free kick or are clean through on goal if not tackled in many cases... hard to explain, but I want to make it clear that you can never use this button too often.

You can also use this button to attack a ball that looks like an opponent is going to trap, just charge in and press it to snap it up (especially on balls in the air) if you don't want to barge in and kick the ball with a pass or shot.

How can you guys not know this, and still find the game funny? :)
Anyway, there is an in-game explanation for almost everything you can do in this game. It's found somewhere in the menus, can't really remember where at the moment, but you'll find it quite easily if you look.

I really didn't understand any of this man... WTF is trapping and all...?

Trapping is stopping the ball's movement and control it at your feet.
Tapping the ball is when you barely touch it to change its direction.

Anything else?

I have no idea if these are the actual terms used in English, but it is what I mean when I say it like that.

Yes I really don't get ur explain about this... Can u explain it with the actual buttons? With that I mean, L2 (PS3) or LT (XBOX360) and right analog stick, left analog stick...
I really think I can get something out of this cuz Im not known with this.

Jesus, redefine your buttons, or at least check which button is what... you can do it INSIDE the game. (system settings -> controller settings -> button configuration) The button is actually called "Special Controls".

I have no idea which button is what by default anymore, the default setup is awful and unusable in my opinion. So basically "press L2 or LT" means NOTHING, because you can assume that hardly anyone use the default setup.

I haven't noticed it to much. I have been playing online and it is very good fun.
Some people believe that the defenders are to fast, that dribbling is bad, but if the attackers were faster the computer would beat your defence easily but against people I think the game is good.

The player slow take off when they get the ball is there, I dont know how you guys dont see it. When you do a normal pass with (X) its very evident. I noticed a through pass with (triangle) eliminates this issue but you cant do through passes all the time. It feels like the players are getting their footing right before accelerating, happens about 75% of the time on regular passes. Its very annoying! If Robihno gets a ball from Pirlo in real life the guy is GONE, he doesn't need to slow down and figure out how to control the ball, these are professional players. Maybe this could work as realistic with players that are slow/old/not in condition or just with bad footwork like workhorse midfielders like Gattuso for example but not for fast creative players like Pirlo, Robihno and Ronaldihno. Why does Konami feel that they have to mess up things that aren't broken to justify making changes to a game? Im sure I'll get used to it but for now its annoying as all hell!

I tried the R1+R2 better know as supercancel but when you do that you take full control of your player and you can't get the ball because you move him off it.

PS By the way, I notice this much more online than offline. Its hard to break down the opponent and play with flair and creativity when this happens, it totally kills the flow of the game.

I didnt see Robihno doing the "GONE" thing after receiving passes against Real this week. Dont exxagerate. This game aims for realism, not showcasing 1eet speedstaz mad skilz of mega famous football stars.

First touch and acceleration: When receiving the ball, press (talking about default controls) R1+direction to make hard touch and accelerate quickly. Also press R1+direction to knock on the ball while receiving pass while running. R2 and L1+direction will give you softer touches when receiving.
