1 Hour 50 Minutes to Konami Conf.

Sure they'll talk to death about their Kojima games but that's not what we're here for is it?

Will they talk about PES 2010? Or will they just crap on us by not even mentioning it?

Btw, I just saw the trailer and it looks like they added some new things but I see some of the old animations still in there. I still see the 90-degree turn with the ball being knocked a mile away. So much for the "overhaul".

I could be wrong though. It is only a teaser after all.

They have to mention it. They wouldn't have released all that media if they didn't want to build up an ounce of excitement and speculation within our communities and clearly it has been a talking point.

They should just stick Messi on stage, have him do kick-ups whilst footage is played. That way, no matter how shit it is, it will be a hit because Messi is there!

Lol, that would be the best way to do it. They should hire you.

yep, count on konami to dick us over. the only thing we get during the e3 week is that lame teaser that tells us basically NOTHING.

The best thing you can do to get your message across - do NOT buy PES10 and instead go for FIFA10.

I'm sure Konami will get the message if Their Sales take a serious hit. Which unfortunately has not happened yet as far as I'm concerned. If they keep on selling millions of copies worldwide -regardless- of the actual quality of the game.

Then I'm afraid we are not going to see any massive improvements any time soon.

Please can we stop judging the game. The gameplay videos haven't even been released so I suggest we wait and see. AND THEN AFTER WATCHING 2 OR 3 GAMEPLAY VIDEOS, WE CAN COMMENT.:)

You are so right on the money Amateur. I still have a feeling that Konami hasn't gotten the message yet with how far ahead FIFA 10 hopes to go with their next release.

Shaun, you are right as well with not being able to judge a teaser. But my problem is that during the E3 week, Fifa came out and told the people EXACTLY what they can expect from the new game: 360-degree movement, more realistic negotiations in Manager mode, less depth time for cross balls on the pitch to facilitate a faster gameplay, etc.

Konami hasn't said a word about PES 2010 at their conference. I didn't expect a video, I just wanted a few words about the game or how the development is going, just anything. I thought fans were entitled to that.

But after all that, I really do hope I'm proven wrong and that Konami comes out with a superb game that blows us away. I really WANT to like PES 2010, but I am not going to pretend I do if I really don't.

To be honest mate we knew a while back what fifa was gonna be about, I started listing the improvements a while back.

This is how dumb the situation is getting......

The reason EA has a playable version at e3 and before that at the community event in london, was for feedback.

Ive heard reports even now they are still activley seeking feedback from those who play it at e3.

See, Konami can have their cake and eat it. They can have a closed doors feedback session with or without a playable version of the game, then use that feedback, rather than showing some shitty ass trailer and going home.

I honestly think Konami is being tight leaped this time around, i'm sure Konami will release gameplay footage when the times right.

Well, pes has always released gameplay vids and then info on improvements. And after that we expect some realy good gameplay videos. I will still wait for those videos and new improvements and then comment. :)

Sensible decision.

But I say, if there was anything blockbuster we dont know about, they would have hinted about it in the trailer no?

I mean, if they had all these great ideas, why the fuck did they pick that stupid tactics gage, its already in fifa anyways.

Maybe it'll be different to fifa.
Anyway, I think that Konami don't like to show anything on teasers. They prefer to release full gameplay movies + improvements.

I been hearing that KONAMI has something blockbuster planned....but they are not showing it yet. Something that will supposedly make our jaws drop....

but i really think they should have shown it by now or maybe its not done or ready...idk.

Teaser didnt suck, it just didnt show much.

But the good thing about the teaser is how....if you are a casual gamer you may not have liked it because of all those strategies on scree, meaning konami are probably aiming for a simulation now and are here to please the hardcore fans...

all in all...they need something soon to lighten up the mood for the community

That's a very accurate way of seeing it... it certainly wasn't aimed at "casual fans". It showed nothing, the animations looked average at best, and why would Casual fans care about "Strategies" when they barely know anything about Football??

I haven't thought of it that way.

But still, I'm very disappointed with what I saw. I expected a much better 1st impression in terms of Animations.

Reaction?? Better be good.

What is this something blockbuster???

Come on,

Someone please explain to me why they have all these great ideas in secret, but they turn up to the biggest game convention on earth with a sliding tactics gage?

I mean if they do have these great ideas, then they are fucking stupid for not having a closed doors session with the aim of getting some feedback.

Seems like wishful thinking of the highest calibre.

At best, they are still developing the game and dont have anything concrete to tell us right now, which also doesnt go with the 'this game has spent two years in the making with 200 people working on it'

Its all about sales, why the fuck would any serious company turn up to the biggest promo event of year and deliberatley get destroyed by its competitior who already has a stranglehold on the market?

I'll go out on a limb here, I highly doubt PES has 360 dribbling or any of the other shit fifa has, so they are keeping quiet and perhaps trying to come up with something.

^Well, time will tell. I just hope that they will release a game that is good.
BTW, as for 360 dribbling movement. It would be highly useful in bal or BAP, but other than that, it isn't that as useful as a 360 passing and shooting would. But I really respect fifa for having a 360 dribbling system because they are trying to add these cool next gen features. However, I think that they'd better improve responsivness and make the controller work faster rather first. ;)
