A few questions from a PS3 PES2009 newbie...EDITORS PLEASE READ...

Hello fellow PES players and especially editors,

I've recently got round to finally investing in a PS3 and of course my first purchase was PES2009!

Having been limited to using PES2008 on the PS2 for the past 2 years or so, and updating/editing the game continually to get the game just as i'd like, i'm finding the changes to editing on a PS3 quite different to that which i'm used to! Can I at this point say (especially to the moderators) that before someone tries to tell me I should read up my questions on other threads, I have tried to do so but am struggling to find answers to my specific questions and notice that much of the threads are extremely long and as such am struggling to find the info i'm searching for!

Having made extensive use of the old PES editor software and incorporating png. files for club badges, kit logos and sponsors its seems that the new methods are quite new (to me atleast!).

Firstly, I chose (for ease and time-saving) to download one of the completed OF's on here (the Championship one - being an Sheffield United fan I HAD to have them on!!) and to whoever created that may I say well done and thanks!!

However, I have since found someones updated version of the template for the Sheffield United home kit. I would like to ask...

*Can I (and if so, how do I) install this one template onto the OF I have updated (without affecting the rest of the edit data)?
*The template that is updated seems to be in a different format (size) to the others installed on the original OF, does this matter?
*Do I have to put the png. file on a USB stick in a certain way in order for the PS3 to detect it/PES to be able to use it?

I've seen a few threads saying edit data has to be put on a USB with a specific folder set-up (e.g. PS3/PES_data/images) etc etc, what are the instructions for this with regards to installing kit templates (and also chants?)

As you can tell i'm quite bemuzed by the new setup on the PS3 and am eager to get to now the set-up as I used to be quite the editor on the old PS2 on PES2008 but have yet to find any software which alllows me to do this now. Is there any such PES editor for the 2009 version on the PES3?? i.e. Is there any editor software which can encorporate all the edit data available (images, kits, players, teams, logos, emblems and chants)???

Many thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide and I look forward to learning the new edit system and its full capabilities with your (much greatly appreciated) help!

You need to go to Saved Data, Pro Evo, find the PNG of the kit you want to change from the list and overwrite it

As long as it either JPG or PNG, it should work fine

Nope. Just put it anywhere on your USB, go to USB on the PS3, click triangle and 'Display All'
