Hola.
does anyone know what the consistency, mentality, condition, teamwork things mean? and the special skill "outside"? I mean I do understand what the rest of the stats mean but those particular few puzzle me.

Cheers

outside - ability to kick with the outside of the foot as opposed to the inside.
consistency - how well they perform on a regular basis - indicated by the coloured arrows
teamwork - how well they play within a team. a high teamwork stat will mean that the player will pass better and also make better runs.

I'm not sure what the mentality stat actually does

Cheers. good point on the outside thing. BTW, I'm not sure the consistency stat is what you refer to (check out the form arrow thread).
and teamwork - I thought the passing were determined by pass acc. stats, and that making runs is determined by reaction stat.

comment pls.

I think some of them refer to the player when controlled by the cpu. i.e. mentality is low and he will make rash tackles and decisions. Teamwork is if he will pass and move for you etc etc - you reckon?

I'm pretty sure the teamwork stat does make a difference in passing and runs. Thats what teamwork means - playing as a team.

My best guesses so far...

teamwork = "The higher the value, the greater the success of passes to other players."
(from in-game description)

outside = "Improves the ability to kick using the outside of the player's boot."
(from in-game description)

condition = players with better condtion have better form arrows on average
('cause I experimented with this)

mentality = how much the form arrow changes based on the team's results. High mentality = stable form arrow, low mentality = unstable form arrow.
('cause I experimented with this)

consistency = how consistently a player performs within a single game
(according to an official japanese guide)

players with good mentality play better when their team is losing.

If you go to edit player stats and press select (help) on the stat you want to know about it will explain it to you

I think teamwork has to do with the player's will to do everything by itself. For example if you play with one player (Libero Grande mode) let's say you are RvN and you're free in front of goal, Kluivert has the ball and instead of passing it to you he will try to make the goal himself. Happens to me quite often :(

Hey guys! If you buy a growth player and then train him up when you gain some points then... all the stat categories are explained at the bottom of the column. So there should be no confusion for you!

You buy the player by team/growth and the stat update bit is in negotiations/training promising players

Teamwork is what the word says. It's all about playing in/as a team. The higher a player's stats for teamwork, the better his passing,... but also the better the team plays. It's important to have at last a few players with great teamwork stats. In that way, the team will perform better

Thanks everybody. But still, if teamwork means that the passes will be more successful, what does pass acc. means?
and Phelan - your explanation of mentalitiy would mean that Roy Keane, for instance, should always have green form arrows. correct me if I'm wrong (cause he's playing for my ML team and he's usually green, so it does kinda make sense.)

It's a combintion, I think. A player with high pass acc. will pass badly if his teamwork ability is low. A player with low pass acc. will pass badly even if his teamwork is high. Both high teamwork and pass acc. (and consistency) is needed for accurate (and consistent) passing.

Note that there's a teamwork rating between each pair of players. Meaning that the teamwork rating depends on who receives the ball.

You're wrong :) His form will be more stable than the form of players with a lower mentality, but not perfectly stable.

By the way, cool tank but it haven't given the Israelis peace, has it.

gollan, sometimes don't get confused with passing, reaction and teamwork. passing and reaction are the individual stats, but while playing within a team, teamwork overwrites many things, what wixon said is quite right - the player will make much better runs, eg positioning.

also if u can notice, the captain of every team should have the highest mentality. (I got this from the official Konami website sometime ago)

Thanks again everybody.

RSHEN - yeah, it does make sense what you say. BTW Keano is my captain.

PHELAN - I checked out your site. good stuff.
and that's MY tank. at least it was. and nothing that is designed to kill can ever bring peace. Peace comes when nations grow up, that's all. Look at Europe - there were wars inside Europe and wars that were started by European nations for the past millenium, and only 50 years ago the Europeans had the sense to grow up and stop fighting. Look at the Americans - still looking for a fight here and there, and us Israelis - a very young, very inexperienced nation that still has to fight for a very long period. Sorry for being such a pessimist but I really think it's true, and nothing much can change it, aside from a lot of time passing and a lot of sad mums.
Wow, I almost got MYSELF crying so I better stop now.

Outside means sing the outside of the boot to kick, but some say it means scoring from outside the box.

What diff does it have from scoring from inside the box I wonder.

Will the keeper not think you'll shoot?
