A great idea for online play.... dont bother Konami!

Ive always been an Iss boy over Fifa, then when the pro evo series started I continued my loyalty and have ever since. Ive never thought about going over to Fifa..... until now. This latest version is fairly average to be fair, over the last couple years it seems to have to gone backwards in gameplay instead of forwards and every single flaw and even more it seems is brought to the surface when played online.
So my advice for the next pro evo is if you cant get the online play perfect then dont bother because it is dragging the game into the relegation zone!!!!!!

Do you think this is going to completely fix it? I am that dubious I have bought Fifa10 and can honestly say I am not disappointed. Sure its not perfect but its extremely enjoyable like pes used to be. Plus online play is faultless.
From the reviews and playing the demo I think I am going to leave Pes alone this year.

the button lag online is laughable....during one game i even considered taking off my shoe and using it as a joypad in the hope it would be more responsive. but seriously, the whole experience online is ruined by constant frustration....conceding goals because your player wont clear the ball, and then when attacking and open net your striker wont perform a simple tap in.......whats the point konami? if you cant get this right after god knows how many years then dont bother making these big promises. people are switching to fifa because of this!! online gaming is getting bigger and bigger, and no matter how good PES is, people want to play their mates online and will ultimately end up buying a one way ticket to Fifaville.....not just for the licences ect but for online satisfaction.
i have a 10mb connection and have had no probs with any other games

someone mentioned a patch to fix the issues....is that possible? or is it a case of a major overhaul of the servers.

I've just tried to play online, as I did with previous versions & I figured it had gone tits up as there were only 393 people online on a sunday in the english server. So I thought I'll at least give it a go but only fancied playing on a green ping, having a 5mb connection ( I pay for 8 but we all know bt dont deliver on that!), however I have more chance of winning fifa player of the year than getting a green ping with anyone with PES online. who the hell beta tests their online? think its time for Konami to get in touch with the programmers of successful online games and get lessons on how to do their job properly. Its the same old bollox every year "we've fixed the online issues" yeah yeah yeah & I'm pope jon paul!

I really think thats a great idea, why they bother with online if they can't get it right for 3 YEARS, whats really painful here that PES 2007 on the xbox 360 had a better online.. i don't know why a company would chose to go backwards, games will be able to handle 128 players in a single game soon!! and you can't get 1vs1 right

do konami have anything to say about this shambles? i know sony are handling the servers this time but konami are just as much to blame for not ensuring they could cope before ripping off loyal fans. the only difference is that instead of players warping we got button lag, which in my opinion is worse. in offline mode ability to pass the ball around quickly is one of the main advancements in gameplay, but online it's virtually impossible to break quickly without losing possession due to the half a second button delay. if your the kind of player who likes to hoof the ball forward and hope to pick up a loose ball then it's not such a problem, but for those of us who like to play the beautiful game as it's meant to be played, it's just frustrating and you find yourself completely changing your style of play to the 'hit and hope' strategy. Konami, you really screwed the pooch this time, almost everyone i know has gone over to the 'dark side' for online satisfaction and frankly, after another year of bs and empty promises i fear i may join them.
