Hi fellow we'ers, i was just wondering how you tackle the opposition. do u use :R1: + :x: ? thats what i use and i want to get away from it because my players always leave gaps in the defence allowing the cpu to get through. Can anyone help me and give me some advice on how to gain the ball from the cpu without using :R1: + :x: ? i play on 6 star.

many thanks, gam3rr

nope i use that too, also do slide tackles in front of players, they will usually run into u and u will get the ball. it also stops u getting booked.

hey :)
u shud try holdin square to chase and then bridge the gaps by controlling ur own player in to the spaces thats what i try cos theres that stupid trick to score now where u jus pass across the box and shoot!
my bro always does that so im tryin to block the pass by chasin with square the main problem to this is that the player can be taken on quite easily with a dummy or shift to the left or right so depends on the situation. If its deep in the box i usually let the keeper come out and block the pass off and chase with square all at the same time, it works sum times :) If its far out from the goal i usually jus chase with square put my player in a nice to block the pass off and then change player to the closer one and do the tackling my self but dont take my advice too seriously cos im not the best at defence! :p
hope u understood that!

vs. cpu on 6*

sounds crazy, but let your cpu defenders do most of the work. no need to keep holding the :square: (2nd player pressure). just press when the opposition ball carrier comes within range of your cpu controlled defender. the only time i try to :x: tackle &/or :circle: slide-tackle is with a forward or a midfielder. if my cursor is on one of my defenders, i quickly try to :L1: toggle back to a midfielder or forward, so i can apply proper 2nd player pressure. if my team doesn't have possession of the ball, i will only control a defender directly as a last resort. use :R1: sparingly, when defending. don't rush in, just jockey the opposition until within range to use :square:.

on 6* i'm having alot of success with this defending technique. or is it because i'm using ACMilan in ML? anyways, when defending, WE8 is like a chinese finger puzzle. the harder you try and struggle, the harder it is to get out.
