A Suggestion To Mods...

When an option file creator creates a thread for their option file in the 'Completed Files' forum, the thread should be locked from anyone else posting apart from the option file creator who can post regarding an update or new version of their option file in that thread.

All discussion on said option file should take place in the 'PES 2008 Editing and Option Files' forum (example 'WEmerica & DjPelle's Option File Discussion Thread'). I say this because the amount of arguments, repeated questions (how do I put the option file on my PS3/360? why aren't the teambadges correct? The Man Utd away kit looks rubbish... etc.) and general rubbish posted is clogging up and ruining these great option file threads, making it difficult to find what we are actually all in that thread for - to download the best option file possible! Honestly, finding the links in all the rubbish is like finding a needle in a haystack right now...

Anyone agree with me?

I don't. The download links of the option file are always in the first post, you don't have to look at the entire thread to find it :S

i agree with Jay, sometimes the creator posts an updated Option/Edit File in a new post later in the thread, and new questions would be asked relating to the new updated file hence the download link would be drowned in questions again.

and by creating an option file download thread where only the creator can create new posts, we would instantly know when an update would be present from the 'new posts' icon.

Very good point, you would be informed of all new option files or option file updates in once glance...

I would rather they just started a new thread if they release an update. Download links should always be in the first post.

I don't think that any thread should be locked, but there should be some sort of "completed file thread etiquette". The amount of post in these threads of people thanking for the OF and making pointless requests really do ruin the thread. If people need to thank do it privately !!!

Agree LIG, there really is a pile of shite in them threads after sometime. There should be one for completed files and one for questions.
