everytime i try to launch a counter attack and send a player ahead, i end up running down the field with only 1 other teammate. in the mean time, midfielders retreat deeper into the field, wingers drop back and defenders just stand there as im left alone up the field by myself.
it appears that the ai is programmed to put players into position first and foremost, and then go on the attack.
i think it would GREATLY help gameplay to reduce the ai's priority on positioning and bring more of an emphasis on moving into open positions. i'd MUCH rather have a team that moves into space rather than into position.
i think this should both apply to offense and defense. if my center half gets beaten i want my wingbacks to move and at least TRY to defend rather than just mark their position.
anyone else see this as relevant?
