Am I causing others to lag?

Hi guys,

Ive been playing pes 2011 ps3 online for a couple of months now and Ive never really experienced any lagging. A little at first not much though.

However, ive recently had someone complain of lagging, they were quite highly ranked, much more so then me, so I was expecting a good game but thrashed him easily, then the game cut off unexpectedly.

How did I beat someone ranked way more higher than me so easily? I also win the majority of games I play? Could my 10Mbps wireless connection be causing opponents to lag?

Is this why I have been winning? If so ill stop playing online.

Help is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I also know a friend of mine with this problem.

He ist using a wifi connection with a repeater in the middle floor of the house
(wifi-box in the ground floor- his room in the 2. - bad connection)

everytime we want to play against each other there is a noticeable little "time shift", and my players react some moments later than normal.

If he creates a room, the connection is slightly better, but if I create a room it's unplayable, and the connection gets lost sometimes.

I don't know a way around, maybe you could try to connect via network cable, or check your wifi preferences...

Has anyone with routers in different room than their console ever tried those electric adapters? These are the devices that go from your router to your electrical plug, then you use a similar device to connect from your electric wall outlet to your PS3/XBox. Basically, the electrical current bridges the internet gap. I have heard they work good if on the same circuit in the house but wanted to get some PESGAMING feedback that I can trust more.

and Drebwin, I would continue to play online if you like to do so no matter what. Particularly if you are beating people.

Are you Wireless this can cause your opponent to lag.
You could be not experiencing lag but your opponent could be suffering button delay lag the worst type of lag .Try playing friendly's and ask if they are suffering any lag.
My ping isn't great but i never lag in 1v1 or 2v2.
