I've just started playing Pro Evo 4 on the PS2 having had it for ages and I'm not very good at it :p I created a 3-star difficulty custom tournament, playing as Newcastle, and I lost to Tottenham 1-0, then came back to beat Norwich 2-1 although I deserved to lose. With Tottenham in particular I found that I was just chasing them all over the pitch for nearly all of the game, having literally 1 or 2 half-chances when I actually managed to keep hold of the ball for more than 30 seconds. So any defending tips would be great, and a few attacking ones because I just end up passing everywhere then trying a through ball. Also, I'm planning on getting PES 6 for the PSP, and possibly for the PS2 as well. I get the impression that the improvements are pretty minor from reviews, but would they be worth getting do you think?

Game reviewers look for obvious things like presentation, drastic gameplay changes, etc. Basically whatever you can notice in a day's worth of playing.

The difference between PES6 and PES4 is very, very, very huge in gameplay terms. PES4 feels like absolute shit when I go back and play it now. It's far too fast and goofy feeling, PES6 plays way more realistic.

But the new one is out soon, so you might want to wait for that :D

Yeah to be honest I was comparing the gameplay of Pro Evo 4 to Fifa 07 and there didn't seem a lot of difference, but then I think Fifa 07 is newer so that would be an unfair comparison. So the gameplay is a lot better then? And how hard is the game from an unbiased point view?

I'd recommend playing with a 4-2-1-3 or a 4-2-3-1 formation. Good in attack while strong in defence too.

Does anyone here no how to defend corners on PES 2008 on X360. I concede goals in about 2 out of 3 corners taken by the Comp and it is really annoying when they get a corner and i am just expecting them to score.
