Are the players 'retarded'

Ive been playing for 3-6 hours today. And i have noticed that some players, the football players, make misstakes that are so bloody retarded. My defenders runs away from the ball while its going against them - in my own zone.

Nope, its a common error. During online matches I've had players run away from the ball and I've conceded goals from it. Its at its worst when you can't select the nearest to the ball after your keep has parried a shot. Soft goals to give away.

I'm sure it'll be addressed for PES2012. Its essentially Dumb AI - players running away from the ball is mental - coupled with poor cursor control. You should be able to highlight the players you may want to select with one of the analogue sticks - before selecting him.

What? It will be addressed for a 'new' game? Read that and say it again. If you buy a car and the doesn't work, do you wait for the new model or do you sell the car (If it doesn't) get fixed and buy another brand?

If they don't sort out the cheaters and the glitches in this years version, why the hell should people buy the next one?

Yeah but this is PES mate, Konami always fuck something up and then correct it in the next edition. Your analogy doesn't hold up because cars are developed over longer time scales. PES is built on the foundations of previous editions, developed a little bit here and there, promoted/marketed, sent to testers and released all in the space of a year.

FIFA is better i two ways. 1) Better 'beta checks' 2) They do have more players.

But you are probably right. But the only think that lures me is MLO and ML.

Exactly, MLO and ML is Konami's selling point for PES, its how they shifted copy after copy of PES2009 and PES2010 which were truly shit.

Granted they are fucking useless but they have addressed fuck ups in the past. PES6 addressed issues from PES5 so hope is not lost yet.

Well the time its taking me to lose patience with PES shrinks each year. I said if PES2011 was garbage I'd turn my back on the franchise but I'm willing to retract that decision if PES2012 is 'better'.

Gamestation and Tesco's sell PES dirt cheap two months after release. By that time a decent Option file will be around to patch the unlicensed kits on this site meaning you get it cheaper and more comprehensive.

Either I get better and worse on alternating nights or there is something going on... Sometimes my players grab the ball out of the air some nights I lose all air balls to the opponents... I don't get it.

You can tell in the first couple of minutes which team the Konami A.I favours.

If your fast players are slow, your strong players are weak, the referee calling free-kicks every-time you player just touches a player, players freezing on the pitch when the ball is in front of them and rebound after rebound goes to the opposition then the A.I favours the opposition especially if you play D5 players. I just had a game against a D5 player where Gutierrez of speed 71 outrun my defender Perea of speed 96 in the first minute.

If the Konami A.I is against you you will have 10 minutes of pain watching you players act retarded on the pitch, unfortunately this is how Konami handles A.I, instead of programming decent A.I for player they just cripple players stats to make it look like players are good. I have lost count how many time my defender will let the ball past him if an opponents good passer passes the ball, instead of just sticking their foot out and getting the ball my defender will lift their leg up and let the ball run past them.
