Athens 2004!

Have any of you got this game? I do and i think you get bored with it to fast!
Some of the disciplins are easy but some others like swimming is damn hard! You can't change the controls either

i was so excited about it since i got sidney 2000 on the pc and it was great then so i thought the 4 year difference will introduce a decent game but i read a couple of reviews and they didn't sound so good all i saw was tap tap tap the game got really bad scores out of ten

I haven't played it too much. I think Track & Field (PS1) is more fun. But this one is worth a go. There is a great section with people's records for this game over at Neoseeker.

my mate has it & we play it on multitap when we go round his. Its only good for multiplayer. shit otherwise.

i though that Athens was great when u had a few people.. especially loved the 800m that was fun with multiple players.. it would prolly bore me on my own though..

Ihad a choice to get that or mashed. i went for mashed cos i have track and field but i really like athletic games!

I played Athens 2004, but it really sucks and it looks like a PS1 game. I have Int. Track & Field and that game looks and plays way better. I use a lighter to run like hell... It works great btw.... But you'll get RSI from the button bashers. It's just not as much fun as it used to be on the commedore with a joystick you had to move to the left and the right, having to buy a new one every week.

Using lighters or batteries was pathetic, i played my cousin 1 night round his and i trashed him at it, he was using a battery and i just used my hands!!!

I've just had my first go of the floor, the womens floor, shocking, really.

Mate of mine has a dance mat, says its his sisters but i don't think so, anyway, you can run using the dance-mat, so i was on the :x: another mate was on :circle: and another on :L1: we kicked arse on the 100m ended up getting something like 8.95secs Justin Gatlin my arse!!! We were Cameroon too.

My brother's friend has this and I played it the other day, thought it was quite good but too hard in places. I also can't help thinking how much better it would be if it had more of the olympic sports in - boxing, table tennis, badminton, tennis, football, marathon! etc...

This is a really bad single player game. It should have a training mode. It should have a diving competition. It's fun for multiplayer and nothing else. Most punishing track event is 400m( if you dont cheat)! 45 seconds of pure button bashing.

I would rent this game for a day or two, but i wouldn't buy it. Sure is it fun for the first couple of rounds, but other than that, buy another game.

I got the game free with my ps2
At first it was good with my bro breaking 7 new records
Then it was rubbish because the was no carrer mode the javelin pole vault swimming and show jumping were hard
Archery and Shooting are boring
I havent played the game for weeks and im planning on trading it

good game playing against another human, shocking if playing against computer. easy game to get hang of, broken loads of world records too many to mention. horse racing , archery and shooting are very tricky, but to be honest there not sports that interest me so dont spend much time on them. get 4 people together and play 4 players at once!
