Auto move

When you first start up BAL it gives you the option to turn it off. Not sure if you can do this during the season, but try at the end. How is it very irritating? Surely if it irritates you just don't hold the button?

What does auto move actually do?

The AI will move your player into the position he should be in. I personally don't use it as I have a free role for Everton as an AMF, but can come in handy for playing DMF I find.

Ah ok thanks. But you have to hold down L1 for it to do it correct?

When you get near the ball your player "moves automatically" towards that.... if I try to run away from the ball yet my player runs towards ball. Same happens when your goalkeeper kicks ball to you. That is irritating.

It only moves auto when you hold down the button.

what he meant is that his player move to a certain spot when his teammate pass to him. eg. it happens when GK hits goal kick towards you, or when team mate try to give you a through ball and you auto chase the ball and cant control your player, or when your team mate shoot the ball and your player will move to chase the deflection off the keeper.

Solution: use Super Cancle (RB+RT)

This was what I tried to bring forth.

The auto move will only happen when you hold down the button. It wont happen automatically without you doing anything. So if his team mate gives him a through ball and he chases it, it means he was holding down the button or he ran for it himself. It wont control you unless you hold down the button.

Not so Milly. There are a few times when your player goes of on one without you pressing auto-move. Usually with me its from a through pass by the AI, my dude sprints off and im not even holding the controller.

Never had this problem before.

As milly said, that problem has nothing to do with whether auto-move is on or off, auto-move will only have an effect if you press :L1:. Running after through balls happens automatically whether you have auto-move on or off, it is simply part of the game. The solution is Super Cancel which will stop your player and allow you to control him manually, :R1: + :R2: on PS3, RB + RT on Xbox 360 I believe.

This is what a couple of others have been trying to point out

That is correct. This happens and it is very disturbing thing. You don´t have to press any button yet your player runs like never before :shocking:

You can turn off auto-move in options and you can't during the season, try 1 week before the season ends to turn it off.
