Is it possible to play as a defender? the only thing close to a defender is a wingback. i was looking forward to play as a defender only to be shot down when there wasnt an option for it.

I wonder what would happen if you have chose wing back and sat back and played defense the whole game and didn't try to get forward at all. Would it make your stats more defense orientated thus making it more likely to get picked for a defensive position.

Otherwise, you would be better off picking DM. It makes it so you HAVE to play defense to save your team from their dreaded inability to make a tackle sometimes, but also lets you score an occasional goal or get an assist.

I played it for a few season and I enjoyed.
