Shevchenko, Henry and Vieri are the most common answers. But Crespo, Del Piero, Larsson and a load of others are pretty good too.

It depends on your style of attack though, even though Vieri may have incredible stats, if he doesn't suit your style of play then he won't be so successful. If you use counter attacks a lot, you'll want a player with good dribble speed and ability and a good one-on-one goalscorer, you don't want a lazy striker who has great positioning and is more of a goal poacher. If you slowly build up your attacks using possession, then you'll want a striker who has great positioning, shot technique, response, passing etc...

If you are counting classic players then without a doubt in my mind the best striker in the game is Eusebio.
Otherwise Henry and Shevchenko, couldn't really seperate those two

Too be honest i didnt like henry too much... his dribble was soo guud that it kinda made him feel slow :( no matter how much i tried to put his acceleration and speed up he just wouldnt go as fast as shev till i put his dribble down. Now hes bk to normal, though i think hes good when it comes to takin sum1 on. Not for loosing a player when 1 on 1 with a keeper.

my fav is shev and recoba when im playing against my mates (casue it seems dribbling and running is easiest against crap defence)

Playin my type of footie against computer Rud V since if you have the right support you just have to pass to him and his shots are just to good for me. He doesnt seem to fall when shooting and the accuracy..arh too guud. :D i know many will have a different oppion but it makes the game much more betta when doing other tactics other then running and skinning people.

Do you think he will grow a few more inches? I think height is useful for headers but not in terms of speed. Just look at Maradona.

Some ppl think shorter is better at sprinting.
They say shorter legs mean shorter stride, thus more strides within the same time as ppl with longer legs.
