Well I have now officially decided Im getting Fifa 09!

After watching the gameplay videos, the game has gone too arcadish for me, it used to be about building up the attack and it felt like real football.

We all know 2008 was a disappointment, I brought it over Fifa, it could of impressed me a bit better but I found it enjoyable.

Watching the pes2009 gameplay, I could not tell the difference between that and the 2008 version except bugs seemed to be fixed and different graphics.

After playing the fifa demo, I stopped being a pro evo buyer because fifa amazed me, realistic gameplay, need to build attacks, it seemed like it was spot on for me.

Now finding out that pro evo demo wont be released until same week of release ( http://www.backofthenet.info/2008/09/pes2009-based-on-pes5-and-word-on-the-illusive-demo.html )made me think, they have got it all wrong. The clever thing was to release the demo before fifa 09 but they screwed up that. What else have they screwed up?

I know pro evo 2009 will be better than 2008 and I hope you buy the game that is right for you but for once I dont see anything it will offer that is more than fifa.

I wish 2009 brings you all kind of enjoyment, but this year, I think fifa 09 seems to have the better package, my opinion......I hope it pays off lol ;)

^Jesus christ. Just play the game to decide. BTW, you must be blind to see pes 09 an arcade game when compared to 08. I suggest to first try pes 09 to decide. It's not fair to just decide to get fifa after playing the demo. Play the demo for pes 09 too and then decide.

thk you need to play pes 2009 demo when it comes out to decide m8. watchin a game on youtube and playing the actual game is 2 different things.

Give him some air lads ffs, Ricz all i can say mate is that maybe u might change you're mind play the pes 2009 demo or rent the game see how u feel and if u dont like it then fair enough, and just enjoy whatever game u play.

Fair play to you mate, your just like me, in that when you like something you go for it. Chinaman was banned for being a "fifa fanboy", well judging by some of the disgraceful reactions we can clearly see who the pes fanboys are! You are exactly the same as me but only im converting from fifa to pes (for me its all about gameplay). I hope you enjoy fifa and feel that you have made the right choice.

why do so many people type BROUGHT when its bought!damn thats annoying. anyways they havent screwed up in the slightest, until konami say the release of a demo will be with the release of the game dont listen to some site that sources another site which has nothing about the demo on it! and even if they dont release a demo who cares, people moaned that they didnt release it with FIFA and this was a "sign" but they seemed to forget PES comes out like 20 days later or something so why would they release a demo at the same time.

also i think it all depends on how you play PES, sure you can give the ball to a star and pelt forward or be a dick and exploit the bugs, but that would be why people find it unenjoyable, just coz theres some amateurs playing the test build and they cant build up there moves doesnt mean the games not capable, and 08 isnt even that bad, just play it how football is meant to be played and try and score great goals rather than shitty tap ins, it becomes much more enjoyable.

FIFA doesnt seem too bad, but the players touch is awful, taking it round people sucks, theres soooo many unneccessary skills with the easy to use trick stick and shooting sucks ass!

WHO CARES!!

everyone likes different things from each of them, an no 1 who prefers fifa is going to say pro evo is better and vice versa!

You are allowed to go out and own both games and play them both, thats exactly what i will be doing, cant see why it has to be 1 or the other
