Card Happy Refs

It seemed to me that the Referees dished out far too many cards even when you clearly get the ball, anyone have an opinion?

I rarely slide unless I know without a doubt i'm getting the ball so I haven't actually had many cards, can't comment on it for sure mate, I have had some strange ones, but after watching real refs the past few weeks that seems real.

Im like crissgran as i rarely slid to get the ball unless im tryin to injure the playin or pissed off. However what i did find out was that when calling another player to put pressure on the A.I the slide most of the time and give away pens in the box and get themselves red carded.

So Far ive had about 3-4 Reds cards and none of them have been due to me sliding but the A.I controlling my players. Idiots.

1 Good thing i feel is that the AI foul more and get quite a few cards unlike previous pro evos where they could go 3-6 games without getting carded.

yep
i slid with Ronaldo against Sneijder and i clearly got the ball but the ref gave me a red,
i was right next to sneijder so ronaldo slid sideways which is perfectly fine.

I can't get a red if I tried! (guess we are talking about PES 2009 demo?) I was even last man with vidic and I brought down torres and only got a yellow!

Seems to me when i play it every so often there is a ref that will book players like mad for good tackles but not every game. I've got used to it with pro evo games anyway they've always had a problem with the refs but I've played it so much it doesn't bother me anymore just makes me watch my tackles. But it is good that the comp does seem to get booked as easily as me when i play cos before in pro evo they have been able to do crap tackles and get away with it whereas i would have been penalised for similar ones.

Yeah, I'm sure this will be adressed.

TBH, on the PES 2009, you don't have to slide. You have so much freedom in terms of how you move defenders, you can intercept/X-tackle most threats.

Do you know those sliding tackles in the demo where they slide infront of you and you run into their backs onto the floor? The comp got sent off for 1 of those. Disgrace.

I've had a few players sent off now without pressing the slide button, one of the lads said it's a new feature.

I've had loads of yellows and reds for decent challenges, but the comp never seems to be punished!

u no wat, they should make a hand ball button, well they do have diving and that is even worse.
if they had handball you would get yellows and reds all the time lol
i do get reds not often but usually

I had just beaten the last defender and he slide tackled me from behind just outside the box. He got a red. I think I had another guy slide tackle me from behind on a run down the line and he got a red. I was yellow carded for a tackle that was arguably clean, so certainly not worthy of a yellow, although I had three similar tackles later in the game, none of which were whistled.
