I know there are a few Championship Option Files already available or in development but I've yet to come across one that fully fits my needs and wondered whether anybody is planning to do something along these lines?
I want to be able to play a Master League in which one of the leagues has all the English Premier League Clubs in its 1st Division and clubs from the English Championship in its 2nd Division. I realise that this means having to overwrite the unlicensed Spanish clubs (along with PES and WE United) thus messing up the other leagues a little bit but I'm prepared to put up with that to get the English league as I would like it.
The problem is, the Championship option files I've come across so far, be they available now or still in development, all have at least one of the following problems preventing me from doing the above:
A) The Championship clubs have been entered in the "Other Leagues B" section meaning that you can't get them to feature in the Master League.
B) The Championship clubs have just been edited in from scratch rather than using a reputable option file (eg Von etc) as a starting point, therefore although the Championship clubs are in there, all the other unlicensed aspects of the game remain unedited
C) The person editing the Championship clubs has by their own admission, not done it particularly thoroughly, for example they've changed team names, kits etc but not the players faces, or in some cases they haven't even done all the names. I know that doesn't bother some people but ideally I'd really like to have all that as well if possible.
Hats off all the same to those who have produced or are working on option files even with the above problems. It's certainly not my intention to be critical of you because they are sterling pieces of work and far bigger contributions to the community than I'm ever likely to offer so fair play to you, and for some people who play the game a certain way those option files will be perfect.
But you know what it's like, we all have our own particular ways we like to play the game and I can't find an option file as yet that fits what I want to do with my Master League.
So, is there anybody out there far cleverer than me who is planning to produce such a thing? If there is you will have my undying gratitude!
