Classic and Unlocked Players in ML

Hey guys,
I played ML for about 15 seasons now without unlocking any players classic or otherwise. I decided to unlock them last season so I did. I got Classic Argentina, Brazil, and some cup players... I read that they appear on the Free Agent list at the end of the season. After the first season passed they did not appear. The second season passed and again they did not appear, I am now in yet another season and they still don't appear. I did a search by nationality to see if maybe they went to other teams in my ML, but they are not there. My ML option to enable the Classic and Unlockable players are enabled. Are they not appearing because I started ML without them unlocked first?

That and because there is an option you must turn on before you start ML.
