I beg your pardon?
I'm trying to get a list together of all the football games ever made. I'll update this top post as they come in. I'll do them by year if the info is there. I don't even know what year it is now, so maybe someone can help with that.
So Far:
Sensible Soccer (Amiga, Mega Drive)
ISS/PES (SNES, N64, PSX, PS2, PC)
FIFA (The whole world, it's like a virus)
Viva Football (PSX)
Kick Off 1 + 2 (Amiga, Atari ST)
Worldwide Soccer (Saturn)
Striker (Saturn)

I'm going blank now...... Help appreciated with games, years and platforms.

Sensible soccer was wicked cos you could edit the whole team names, players etc
and to play it was class - i loved it!

What a beautiful image.

Oh how i adored SWOS. Nothing even came close at the time. The simple gameplay, huge number of teams and freedom to create all kinds of tournaments meant that i didn't play many other football games on the Amiga (which i had between 1989-1996). However, Kick-Off wasn't bad and European Champions was pretty good.

Then came the PS1 and i was a big fan of Actua Soccer 1 and 2. FIFA 99 was brilliant, but then along came ISS ProEvo and everything else was blown away since.

SWOS was so addictive, especially the management aspect. You could start out managing Arsenal and end up with some team in the Icelandic 2nd division, you could also check statistics on all of the matches that have been played with various clubs you have managed. There was also the option of viewing your all-time statistics

Lads!!!Lads!!!Lads!!! Calm down with the SWOS bull, I can smell it all the way over hear in Ireland. Will someone please show Dundon’s a review that says SWOS is better than KO2?

P.S I remember them days well, when the clash of the titians was between SWOW (fifa) and KO2 (PES) and guess what? KO2 kicked its ass. ;)

Mate, if you read any of the Amiga magazines from back then they will all agree that SWOS was the defining football title of its time. And i am also quite confident that the majority of gamers who played both would also agree SWOS was king. KO2 was a great game, but SWOS was greater.

And don't even compare SWOS to FIFA. That just gets me mad
