Will will be able to import OFs of classic platers created in PES 2012 into 2013 (just as we could from PES 2011 to 2012)? Wondering if it's worth spending the next couple of weeks on that before the PES 2013 comes out...

Yes.
I have base copied all of my edited classic players into the Create Player section.
So I have the likes of Maldini, Stam, Van Der Sar, Hagi, Baggio and many, many more. These will pull through, but you can't adjust the face builds as it will go to a default state.
The only thing you will have to do is give them hair from a pre-set faced player.
If I were you, I'd check out PES 2012 EDIT page on this forum and start face building.
