I have Celtic Club Football, and for some reason Liverpool, Villa, Chelsea and Leeds are not Licensed all the other Club Football Teams have their proper kits and stadiums.

ok, so why are you all buying this? please explain?

my theory is that casual gamers will buy anything that is drivin into their skulls from advertising campaigns and cant wait for a vastly superior game.

Anyone else going to give club football a try?

I have an xbox and ps2 and i will buy fifa 2004 and club football for xbox and pes3 for ps2.

In club football their r 3 pre-set control systems - club football one a fifa one and a pes one the gameplay is meant to be like pes with licenses.

I happened to borrow a copy of the club football (MU) playable on PS2. I don't know, it was disappointing. The players are as stiff as a turnpike and they do not move around like those in WE.
I am not sure whether the game will play any better on X box but
having played Fifa 2004 demo, I can say that Fifa is much better in terms of everything. The king of football is still WE/PES though.

Definitely Maybe

Thing with club football is, in England you can only have 2 licensed clubs from the same country in the game, so if you bought say..... the Leeds version, you would only have Leeds and Man U licensed (if you bought a foreign version you would get Arsenal and Manure licensed from England), which is a bit of a bummer.

Someone on the Club Football forums asked how Fifa had all English teams licensed, and a club football representitive said that there is one game which gets away with murder licensing wise (presumably Fifa.)

Whats the Sunderland squad, anyone?

Long time since I've been around as I've been so busy.

The reason casual gamers, and I include myself in that category, buy this and other games is because, usually, it looks like a fun game and it is. If I see a game that looks good I'll think about buying it. This probably goes for about 90% of the people that buy games. Elitism doesn't come in to it.

Same with CDs, DVDs and cakes. :D

I saw a feature long clip of it on SKY TV on channel 223. It bored me to death. It is about 5 years behind the current football games.

Yes, but don't you ever go by reviews and what not before you buy a game? If you buy a game based on the looks of the box and other silly things like that, then it is your own fault if the game is shocking.

The reviews are good - around 8/10 across the magazines. And to say the graphics are crap is a bit harsh when most gamers and reviewers have agreed that the graphics are really good.

Ah well, horses for courses...

But which would you believe - quite a few good reviews or one person that says it's crap? You'll always believe the one person. That's human nature.

not if 500 well respected people say its good and then one retard says its bad, you will listen to the 500.

bottom line pal, u dont go see a film if it gets a bad review, same with cds , theatre, bands etc.

common sense prevails that pes3 is the best football game ever and also one of the best GAMES ever.

as i said , advertising is what sells games to casual gamers like yourself. just read a bloody review and dont be daft, lol
