Recently downloaded the new England kit from Ajay's site but after inserting it into my patched PES4 on PS2 the collar seems to be on back to front. Could someone tell me how I can fix the collar so that its on the right way round? Hope you guys can help.

You need to use 2 programs to sort this out. First open your AFS in WEPES Graphic Studio and then find the uni.bin you inserted the new England kit into (006 if I remember correctly). Right-click on the bin in the window on the left and then choose : Set collar type. You then have two choices, Collar or Round neck or similar. Choose round neck. Close the program and insert the AFS into your ISO.

Then you need to get hold of Waterloo's Tool for editing the param_dat.bin. Using this program, you need to set the kit model to 13. Then you need to re-import the param_dat.bin into the AFS. If you need help let me know.

P.S. Kels new England kit is better than Ajays in my opinion. I'll post it in a few mins. Cheers!

Only if the patch includes a new England kit already. If it is the 2004/2005 kit (with collar) then it won't. I use the JB patches as a base and insert everything I want to change so I needed to change the kit-model and collar setting.

You need the Zlib_tool! I know it sounds like a martian penis but it exists and you need this to firstly decompress the param_dat.bin and then compress it again. I can send you the zlib_tool if you like as it is quite a small program. Let me know...

If you could send me the tool that would be great, also some info on what I need to do would be most appreciated.

Thanks again,

Here you go Dazz:

http://rapidshare.de/files/1740228/we6fw_zlib_tool.rar.html

Just do the following. Open the zlib tool and drag-and-drop the param_dat.bin into the top window. A new file will appear in that folder called param.dat.bin.000 or similar. Edit this in Waterloos tool. When you are done, put this param_dat.bin.000 back through the zlib-tool in the bottom window and this will update your original param_dat.bin. Delete the param_dat.bin.000 so you don't get confused and re-import the param_dat .bin into your AFS. Done!

Is there another Waterloos tool around because when I insert that param file nothing comes into the Waterloo tool screen. Any ideas where I've gone wrong?

A tutorial would be very much appreciated because I'm still getting the same thing as before. Sorry for being a pain in the ass.

Try this:

1. Open the Waterloo Tool

2. At the bottom where it says Version make sure you select your correct version from the dropdown menu ie PES4, WE8 etc. In your case PES4.

3. At the bottom where it says "File Name", click the small unmarked square button to the right of the long white section.

4. Find your param_dat.bin_000 file you made with the zlib_tool and click open.

5. Click the big "Retrieve File Button located to the bottom right of the Waterloo Tool

6. Now you can edit your param_dat.bin_000. When you are happy press "Write File" button and your changes will be saved in your param_dat.bin_000 file

7. Now open your zlib_tool and drag your updated param_dat.bin_000 through it. This will uodate your original param_dat.bin. Delete your param_dat.bin_000 so you don’t get confused.

8. Then import the file back into your AFS.

Any probs, let me know.

Remember that the new England kit should be Body model style 13. Whilst your at it you should also change Inter FC's to Body model 46 and the number type to Nike (number 3 I believe). Looks much better!

Ok, Dazz. Try setting sure your Desktop Resolution to at least 1024x768 or higher. This should do the trick. Then open the program. It should then look like this:

I am doing this from work so excuse the other programs and shit!
