why is it so awful, they say stupid stuff like if you are losing like 1-0, and 2nd half is starting they start criticizing your manger etc

and they barely talk about the teams

i love Fifa commentary, they talk about the match, and dont come out with crap like i think the fans are eating prawn sandwiches..seriously konami wtf

every time i play pro i just stick my music on

I guess it's a matter of opinion on how seriously you take the PES commentary. You obviously take it too seriously mate, which is probably why you hate it. In my opinion, PES commentary is quality, it is ridiculously funny at times and some of Lawrenson's sayings make me laugh: "This game's so bad I wish I had laryngitis." :chanlaugh:

We all know FIFA's commentary is great, but Andy Gray really does annoy me nowdays so listening to his voice everyday would probably just wind me up too much to concentrate. I'll happily stick with Mark Lawrenson's dry humour and sarcastic insults.

I dont think it would be that hard to get it to atleast the same level as Fifa's commentary.

Ye some of the lines are ok but is way to repeatitive

And teams that are licensed they should talk about their history against each other etc

Like. R Madrid vs barcelona etc

I agree i think pro commentary lacks realism,
this can be solved by:

1) having more involvement from Mark Lawrenson, not just goals and close shots but that banter all commontators have

2) commentry that recognises the players, eg "ball played in by Beckham!"

3) commentry that recognises the teams that are playing and previous results and facts about them

4) Perhaps a sideline reporter that mentions any tactical changes made at half time

i think its got worse i remember in pes 5 even when teams had fake names they still said them like "today its man red vs west london white" they dont even say that now the thing about the commentry is like they are only commentating on your team like they need to pick up some points in their poor form or whatever but they never say the oppersion is doing well or when the AI score its like oh no"
they always on our side critersize us nufin 2 do with the other team

the commentary is toilet!!!

"well the second halfs underway and some people might think the managers losing his marbles, he's got substitutes, but refuses to use them"....... every time half time passes without making a sub!!!

"the second half underway and the home team now kicking towars there favourite end of the stadium"...... i had the commentator say this in a world cup semi final. not good enough.

"well that one was closer to the corner flag, no accuracy".... a shot has just been deflected for a corner for fcuk sake!!!!!.....


i could go on and on and on.... the commentary is shite!!!

that one about subs really pisses me off there is about 2 or 3 diffent lines about subs when u are losing starting the secound half like "the fourm for the subs didnt arrive in time" there are lods that really fuck me off and i dont find them funny at all this is a next gen game and they are using ps2 commentry im mean come on konami

I changed the commentary language to Spanish, and it is great, i love it and its much funnier and cooler than the English one

The only thing that i didn't like is that it has several mexincanisms (words or phrases that are only used in Mexico)

i changed the commentary language to italian and i can say it is very amusing. i now change it every once in a while for the fun. try it yourself it can get realy boring listening to the same sentences over and over...
