this is going by each page number on the bottom of each page. this is a synopsis of each page and bear in mind the french talk a lot of sh1te so if it seems short, dont worry, you havent missed out on anything much.
3. -first of all, theyre talking about we8, not pes4.
-menus are more colourful apparently,(bloody french...)
4. -from the photos on top of page, the goalies can control the ball better as you can see. they can also put the ball on the ground by pressing :R1:
-there are close goal-line decisions that the refs mightnt neccessarily get right...(rows will be had).
-from photo on top with brazilian and french guy, protection of the ball is now more important.
-more of a one-touch passing game, defense more difficult, you need to keep an eye on all your defenders.
-licences only for italy, holland and spain.
5. -players are more aggresive; bottom pic, pauleta pushes silvestre off the ball (wont be the last time that happens to him, headless twat...)
-slowdown will be fixed for pes4.
6. -not much of interest here.
7. -right, free kicks; four types:
(i)one player runs over ball, the other hits it. yawn.
(ii)player who doesnt look in a shooting position hits it, keeper thrown off.
(iii)one player MANUALLY passes it to the other to get a better position.
(iv)player runs with the ball. (interesting...)
8. -theres a style of play to suit anyone, if youre good at passing you can do well that way, good at dribbling, can do that too, not as constrictive as previous games.
-they go through the old moves still in the game.
9. -new moves.
volte face: let go dpad and press :R2: will turn around and be ready to go either way.
la feinte de demarrage: standing still with ball in front of you, double tap at a 90 deg. angle and he'll do the feint in the photos. looks cool.
la feinte sur place: same as old one.
le super shoot: if i need to explain this, tis all a matter...
decaler le ballon: press :L1: and :R1: together and he'll push the ball away, can be used to get more precision in passes or shots or to push ball away before tackle comes in.
10. -master league: now we get to the important stuff.
-start off with 5000 points, (can unlock to change it to more).
-difficulty setting also applies to how hard it is to get new players. good call i think.
-three types of teams to start off with, im sure you all know about this.
-heres the interesting bit. you are recommended to train your players before EACH game, or they wont be up for it. you train with them till an OK sign (see pic) comes up. players, particularly young ones, get better in training, especially pre-season, and also get better stats during games.
-you get notices during the season of good players whose abilities are going up.
-the default players are almost all old, so need to bring in new blood quickly, however, dont put them in the whole time as they will tire quickly.
11. -really interesting: you can get info on the other teams strategy before each game and their star player will be indicated with a... star, yes.
-you can buy players on credit.
-theres a form curve for each player, saying if stats are going up or down, can make decision to "retire" old players (in the italian sense).
the other pages, edit mode and training are pretty much self-evident, although as you can see, you can put sponsors on the shirts now.
that page about the refs, pretty obvious, basically, you dont want carl white to be the ref. not only but also, the refs can be up to 30% wrong on their decisions. scary.
well there you go lads, its been emotional.
