CPU takes control of my players???

Hi guys

i use the semi-assisted setting where I manually have to change player by pressing L1.

The problem is that when i make a pass to a teammate the ball gets intercepted by another of my players, though controlled by the cpu.

When I´m controlling a defender and is just about to head the ball away my own players (CPU-controlled) gets there before and heads in to a corner.

Do you use semi-assisted or what? Also is there a way to change settings so the left stick will only make players move, not dribble.
I just run around making stupid dribbles when trying to move my player

I hate how they've changed the L1 button i use to always have it on manual but now i have to have it on semi-assisted cause with the manual setting you have to press L1 every time you receive the ball which is annoying cause it can lead to you doing a lob when you just wanted to shoot first time and if you forget to press it the computer controls that player for you and as for the semi-assisted the CPU takes control to much by passing it for you or kicking the ball out when all you wanted to do was turn and kick it up field and im getting pissed of when defending how many times the computer does a sliding tackle for me and gets my player sent off

What about the third option, automatic, i think? how does that work?

Tottaly agree. They ruined the L1 button. Also the square button doesn't work as it used to be.

i don't understand how something can be described as manual when the computer overrides you're decision and selects a player of there choice sometimes. I am getting more used to it but it is irritating. For me the case should be if you forget to press L1 then your player just shouldn't do anything.
