Hey guys. I think I've uncovered a bit of a glitch in Pro Evo 5.
Myself and a friend have been playing a co-op ML for about 6 seasons and we created a few promising young 15 year olds we could develop - so we didn't start them with monster stats (ie. 99 in everything, which - really - is kind of pointless doing as half the fun of the ML is developing your youth and turning them INTO awesome players).
After two seasons, a couple of the players were really starting to look good in terms of their stats, but we couldn't really detect any improvement in the actual gameplay with them... it felt using them in-game that they hadn't actually improved at all.
Now, here's the glitch. When you look in the formation screen on the main menu where all your data is, or on the development sheet, it displays the created player's improved stats. However, when you actually start a match, press START and go into the formation screen in-game, you'll see that the stats of created players have reverted BACK to what they were originally created at!!! Basically, they don't ACTUALLY improve at all!!
Needless to say, unless you have created an all-99 stat monster player, its pointless using created players in ML if you want to develop them because while it LOOKS like they are improving, in terms of in-game mechanics, they are always going to be the same original player you created with their original stats. So for those of you who do the same as my mate and me and make players that aren't awesome to begin with, don't waste two seasons on some promising youth players you created like we did. Stick to the players that the game actually generates as they DO improve in-game as well. Now we're just going to release ours and then delete them from the game.
Just thought I'd let you all know.
Cheers,
Meds.
