Well I know you can transfer desire players from one club to another but that messes up the original roaster. I was wondering if there's a way to 'create' my own club and add players instead of trading them using free transfer. Or can I duplicate players and add them to an edited club?

Just set up a master league team. Buy all the players you would want. Then your default data doesn't change.
