Hi all, does anyone else play master league like a football manager game?

I play ZERO matches, because to me thats not what master league is about, its about managing a team/nurturing talent etc.... Plus, playing matches makes the game waaaaaayyyyy too easy, everyone knows you can score by running along the side and passing low into box. So my created team Mexborough FC winning liverpool in there first season with default players is a ridiculous idea.

I create my own team, then start with default players and watch matches, let them play themselves.

Anyhoo.... im ranting lol

The real reason for posting is, Does anyone have any tips for starting with default players in Div 2? Because it seems to take roughly 4 seasons before you can afford a player rated over 70.

Starting with roughly 3mill, default players, after wages payed you only got about 600k

If you buy Schwarz, Palmieri, Shimizu from the youth team your in even bigger trouble when it comes to season 2, no big sponsors, huge wage demands from shimizu.

(p.s i laugh so hard when i read other topics of players boasting about things such as "i started with default players and got promotion and won the cup in first season!".......... yeah because you played the games, you can win any team if you play lol try managing properly and sorting out tactics/substitutions and watching them play on there own. im sure you wont be saying you got promoted in your first season then!) :D

I laugh so hard when people laugh at those who play the game the way it's supposed to be played.

All I can say is congratulations on your patience, but if I wanted to play a management game I would play one that's actually designed for it. PES ML offers no real depth and would be pretty dull as a management sim.

i just skip the bottom of the table games and play the important games, means u dont have to bother hammering the carp teams, leave that to the coach.

there is no way around making more money as a lower division club, you will only get the good sponsors as you get a better reputation. the only other way to make money is selling your players

Yep sure, you can play the games and i guess that is the real main way to play master league. But i dont think Konami were thinking strait.

How can master league be about fun and about finding the correct talent and training them with skill cards IF you play the games yourself??

The skill cards only really take effect when they are computer controlled. And whats the point in buying and nurturing future potential when you can basically beat the entire game with default players anyway!, on top player i can start with default players, win 95% of games, get promoted then win roughly 85-90% of matches in the premier league and eventually win the premiership.

Wheres the fun in that??? There really is no point in the whole training system, getting skill cards, buying 17year olds and hopin they turn into beasts! if you just play the game yourself. (playing yourself simply makes training, skill cards, youth players, loans in and out absolutly pointless)

And yeah me too, i skip the less important ones, then watch the team play cup games and matches against big teams. And if im gettin peed off with my team getting a whupping from a team they should be smashing off the field i sometimes take control :D lol
