Differences between the PS3 versions (euro vs america)

hi, i am new here, sorry if this is not the correct place to ask this, but i would like to know the differences between versions of the PS3 game
I think i have the US version , because i didnt get the 1.2 patch (correct? ), so my question are....

what else is different between the US and euro version?
Is there another version of the game besides the euro and US?
Whats Konamis purpose of making multiple versions?

Im guessing its the exact same game no matter where in the world you are

The only difference is the region the game can be played in. Like DVD's have a set region computers have as well

So region 2 games (europe) wont work in region 1 (america) computers

I dont know the actual regions so region 1 might be wrong for america, but its just an example.

Anyone actually know why we have different regions, surely they could just have 1 region so it wouldnt matter where in the world you are, its not like they make more money from people because of this as people in region 1 wont buy region 2 games etc

Actually the PS3 is region free so you could play the European version an american console and vice versa.

The main difference is, Konami gives full support to euro and asian versions (update 1.20) and doesn't give a damn for American customers (no 1.20 for us )

well, i think this summarizes everything huh?

and why is this? do they get licenses for euro/asian versions and not american?
this is not fair, i hate the fact that the rosters aren't updated when you play online

are we (american users) able to play europpean users on the online mode?
