A lot of people on this forum hold pes3 in high regard, and i repect that. however i have to say that i am disappointed with the game, as well as frustrated. The disappointment stems from the fact that, frankly depite what others say, i think its too fast. It it is almost pinball like. the way the players run looks unrealistic and there is little time to excecute skills. sometimes, if you look closely in replays, players dont actually make connection with the ball when they pass, shoot e.t.c, elements of an arcade game. indeed with skills, when they are performed, it looks quite poor. it feels the player is gliding across the grass, walking on air even when a skill is excecuted. These two factors greatly affect the game play. for a game that is meant to be at the top of footballing simulations ever made, it seems game makers are still a long way away from acheiving true realism. I had played pro evo on ps1 and it had impressed me then, which is what prompted me, not only to get pes3 but to purchase a ps2 as well. i am glad i have the xbox to fall back on. i am frustrated because i feel if not for the extrme speed of the game, it might have been half-decent. I was a big fan of pro evo, but this game has made me lose some respect for it. truly disappointed. i heard pes2 was slower, so i might give that a go to see if it restores some lost faith.
