Dissapointed for PC

My friends and I bought this for PS2 and love it, play it all the time and we end up killing each other because thats how serious we get with it. Then I got it for PC but was largely dissapointed, the direct port made it look like an old atari game and no support for widescreen, cmon this is year 2007, graphics should be up and at least widescreen support. Does anyone know if PES 2008 PC is not going to be a dissapointment for me as it was for PES 2007 PC in terms of graphics.

well Konami said they are going to release the PC version as a 'next-gen' game so it should be different than last years

Disagreed!

PC version is much better. With kitserver installed, there is widescreen support and with all the excellent patches around PC version becomes the excellent PES experience.

Hi sorry, yeah I totally disagree with my first post now, I just found the settings page where you configure the resolution and widescreen/graphics and all, now I can see there is much difference and yes PC version does look a bit better. I just thought games these days have all there settings inside the game menu's.

Yeah, settings are silly and without the patches PES looks like a pathetic game imo.

PES 2008 on the PC will be the same game as the PS3 and the XBOX 360 versions........

However, no doubt Konami will deploy little effort into optimising the port and the PC version will be ridden with flaws and require twice the processing power that it really should need to run smoothly....

Mark my words......this is how it will be.....
