Do I have to use Max Drive in order to get updated players for World Soccor Winning

I'm going to buy this game for X-Box and would like to know if I have to buy Max Drive in order to get updated rosters for this game, and if so how exactly do I do it.

Thanks in advance.

Well as you know, Konami does not have many licenses therefore, or order to get all of the correct names you can sit down for hours, and correct them all, or alternativey you can by a max-drive, place the relevant saved game on the max-drive which is connected by USB, plug it into your Xbox and transfer the files that way.

The max-drive in designed to transfer saved games from either xbox to xbox, PC to xbox, or Xbox to PC.

Well I don't have the PC version of this game, now I'm wondering should I just go ahead and get the PC version instead, is the PC version better?

No. Go ahead and get the xbox version. It's just that you can store, edit and share you option file (saved game) on the PC.

Alright then, that's what I thought and mind you I can't find the X-Box version of Max Drive anywhere so I guess I'll just play without the updated rosters until I get XBL.

I'd recommend the PC version over the xbox version any day. Much easier to update and patch the pc version. Well worth it if your PC is good enough to handle the game. And playing online is easier on the pc version too.

ever heard of GameStop or EB games? try BEST BUY is my best suggestion to you. :)

As I said before EB & GS said that they don't have the X-Box version of Max Drive, I havent tried BB yet, E-Bay does have one but still it's in the UK and I'm not sure it will work on a US system with the differant power flows and all.

Really because I read the Gamespot reviews and they said that On-line isn't that good and overall the X-box version is better, although you are probably right about the downloads and things that the PC has.

These are my PC specs:

Coolermaster Centurian 5/Coolermaster 450w PSU
Asus Av8n-e S939 mobo
AMD 3800+ Venice CPU
Sapphire X800XT PCI-E V-Card
Seagate HD SATA 160gb
Kingston Value Ram 2x512

I can run anything....

Online isn't perfect on PC but it depends on the location of your opponent. I've played Gunplay who is in London, same as me and the matches have seemed as if we're both playing on the same PS2.
Playing people online on the pc version is much easier and it's free as opposed to xbox live where you have to subscribe and the options are more limited. There are good programs for the pc version such as the online launchers and the tool that lets you use manual cursor change when playing online. These are not available for the xbox version. Also the pc version is much easier to patch and you can play the patched version online which is not possible on xbox.

Try renting the xbox version and see what you think. All you need for the pc version is the controller convertor which lets you use a ps2 controller on any pc game - well worth it for about £7 from here.
