I play on PC and I need some advice to improve my gameplay. Currently I get regularly frustrated by the following points:-
1) Quite a few of the short 5 yard passes end up behind the targeted player.
2) Shooting first time: Mostly ends up doing an ultra annoying and pointless toepunt or hit with the side of the foot. What happened to the good old piledriver???
3) More often than not, crosses into the box are very low and easily kicked, instead of headed, out by the opposition defence.
4) Build up play is absolutely superb, but in the final 3rd, players tend to bunch up a lot especially when waiting for a cross in the box. They're always either "too near post" or "too far post" if you get what I mean. Very hard to find them waiting in the middle.
5) Strikers also tend to veer away to the sidelines (noticed this a lot in PES 2008 too).
I think points 1 and 2 are issues with the game which can't be helped. But I feel the other points have something to do with what I'm doing because I don't hear other players complaining of this. Either with the way I use my controller keys or the way my team is setup (formation, tactics etc). Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
What are your preferred formation and tactics for instance? I generally go with Simple Settings -> Attack and bring defensive player up for set pieces and then use the recommended formation/settings.
Also is it true that in general gameplay on PC isn't as good as that on consoles?
