Does anyone else feel like Moderators and Admins are defending Konami?

So if no-one on this site can prove that Konami heard the feedback, why are the Moderators and Administrators of this site defending Konami? Why cant we criticize them if they fail to meet expectations?

Just because some of the mods on this site were treated to free trips to the Konami EU headquarters and giving copies of the game in advance doesnt mean Konami is immune if they make a crap product.

We aren't defending Konami, in fact you'll see many admins and mods criticising PES about as strongly as you lot. In fact I think just about all the admins play FIFA instead.

What we are doing is trying to keep discussion civil and criticism constructive. Nobody gains from Wolfman wishing death on Konami heads. Nobody will ban you for making points that are critical of Konami, most of the admins and mods would be banned if that was the case, but do so in a constructive manner and stick to the site rules.

I won't close this thread just yet as I want to see what you have to say but that doesn't mean that another mod won't. Please read this thread.

I'd have to say that this site is a pretty democratic forum that allows people to air their grievances about the PES games fairly. If for example you go to Pesfan.com, you will see that there is only 1 thread allowed for everyones complaints. All complaints on every topic have to be posted in there, where they are hidden away in a little corner of the forum. So I would say that this site is far more free and democratic. People can freely start their own threads, or find many threads about a particular aspect of the game they are disappointed with and contribute. If you post comments that aren't personally abusive or degenerate in to foul mouthed rants, then as far as I've seen, you are free to state your opinions here. Just try to start a complaining thread over at Pesfan in comparison, your thread will be immediately shut down. So I would say that this site should be appreciated for the freedom to express opinions on the game, even if they are negative. And god knows, I have enough issues with PES 2010!

You can criticise whoever you want, when has anyone stopped you?

I've also previously stated - to you I believe - that the bloggers (who are not moderators or administrators I hasten to add) are the only ones who have dealt with Konami directly and through their own links asked me to make this section which Konami linked to on the game's official website.

I'm more than a little annoyed by your claims we're defending them. The game is awful, not correctly optimised for PC configurations to a level the vast majority of games achieve and I did not continue to play it after my initial tests to see how good the game was.

You'll notice there's a FIFA 10 section in the Other Gaming forum - look at how actively I, Phatmann and Original? (three administrators) post there. We're on FIFA pretty much every night in Club Mode.

There are ways and means of criticising Konami. Not everybody hates the game but I certainly do. As Papa stated above, wolfman's posts are a disgrace and he broke numerous rules. His ban isn't permanent.

I'd also consider liaising with shaun7 who has had many debates with me about the game - me slating it and him defending it.

Its just such a bad feeling when you feel powerless to make a difference with something you love this much when it isnt going well and im sure you all can understand where Im coming from. I admit expressing it this way is a bit extreme and Iv had a bit of a chance to cool down after yesterday. After reading the comments I have also realised that the mods and admins are on our side so Im happy for that and m glad that Im not the only one who is also disappointed.

By the way, I do not in any way agree with Wolfmans post, but I just found it funny at first read! So please dont associate me with him because my only issue is that the relationship is one sided...that isnt enough to wish death upon anyone which is down right stupid.

And I almost forgot, I apologise to you Don Sweey and Papa. Like I said, its just tough for me to handle the feeling of being so powerless to make a difference with any Pro.

Yeah Barca, I know the feeling of being so wound up by Konami's apparent complete indifference and lack of feedback. Sometimes it's been hard not to steam in ranting and raving! But at least on this site there is more freedom of expression than I've seen on other sites, so I appreciate that about Pesgaming :happy:

I do understand your frustration - you've got this game you love playing and get hyped up about pre-release. We've got an official Konami section here and you'd hope they'd come along and post in it.

The game doesn't come up to standard and you hope to hear from Konami regarding their points of view and how they hope to tackle certain issues that are clear mistakes. They don't.

We've discussed something like this in another thread on here a few weeks ago and you come across as a high standard of user which is only a good thing for a community such as this. We are all, in various ways to various degrees, frustrated with the lack of post-release information from Konami. Unfortunately, some like me have given up hope.

I for one put all my hopes in Konami's apparent wish to listen to their fans. I actually thought for once I could be able to provide an input that would not only be valuable to them but to the rest of the community on here. I knew very well that change wouldnt come quickly, but at the same time...just a simple form of acknowledgement from the Dev team would have gone a long way to easing my and im sure many of the frustrations on the site.

I suppose like years past we will have to once again wait. My copy of pes2010 is now collecting dust. But thats not because I dont love playing football games, its because the game simply doesnt simulate what the beautiful game is all about anymore.

Not at all, the feeling i get is that most of them(like me) have switched to fifa. I do feel the blogs on the homepage are slightly biased and at times irritating. Was there any feedback interchanged between reps and konami about gameplay improvements. Who gives a fuck about player cards etc, i want a manual passing system and a game i dont crack in a day.

We can all admit that the previous two PES titles have been very below par, but it seems PES 2010 has completely split opinions. Some still hate it, while others including myself actually do genuinely enjoy it. I've got FIFA 10 (well, my housemate does), but I'm yet to really touch it, mainly because I'm too busy in PES's League Mode with Feyenoord and I don't particularly like doing too many things at once.

PESGaming gives every member a voice, and everyone has a right to be heard, just so long as it isn't extreme or offensive. Simple and fair as we've discussed.

Even though I really do enjoy PES 2010, it doesn't make Konami saints, lets be honest, even in my opinion.

I make myself choose one football to play for good, i know it sounds abit strange but my passion really is football games so i can only play one. I don't think pes is a bad game but they don't focus on gameplay enough. Try fifa all manual i would be suprised if you didn't prefer it, but it your opinion.

I laughed when i read Barca's first post, he clearly didn't know all the facts. Once he learned the facts he knew he was in the wrong etc, i say thats the end of that.

The only thing the Admins have zero tolerance against is Racism, and rightly so. Basically anything else goes, unless its way outta line. Even a certain thread i made up bashing fifa 10 having its own section was allowed to breath for quite sometime, despite the fact i was very aggressive and used alotta uncalled for language. Swearing is even allowed, obviously not omg amounts but its allowed anytime/anywhere. That thread wasn't even deleted, elsewhere i'm pretty sure it would have

Hunter - enough is enough, its time to move on. Let go of Pes and join Fifa. Me of all people has jumped ship. You'll kick yourself if you play fifa for a few days and attempt to return to pes. The things in Pes we'd be like " wow thats pretty cool " is basically taken for granted by fifa fans as its common for them now. ( like online, online club, animations, 100% kits and above all, the game runs quicker, the ref knows how to let the game continue via advantage constantly. In pes that only happens now and again )

The only thing that should keep you from switching to fifa is if your irl buddies still play pes, otherwise its time to Upgrade to the better footballing expierence.

I know what your saying Mullet Taylor but dont you think its kinda sad that something you liked soo much has just gone soo bad. I mean, I loved PES...and i still remember back in the day when ISSProevo2 was out...everyone I knew was playing it! We would make fun of other kids for playing Fifa.

There was nothing better than organizing tournaments with your friends after school. Now...If we pick up the controller we cant believe how much we end up just disgusted at the flaws in the game. I for one may never play Fifa to be honest...Pes is like my wife lol...i hate her right now but I wont cheat on the cow lol.
