Does anyone use individual tactics on PES?

Does anyone set the individual settings of players on PES? I found them quite useful in the past but I'm a bit concerned because the individual settings haven't been mentioned here before.

Do you mean with the defense level and the attacking arrows?

I use those all the time when doing a M.L. campaign. Not sure how effective they are in PES5 yet as I'm pants at it regardless of what I do at the moment

There is a thread in the Hints section where people discuss their tactics and strategies. Check it out. They are quite important to raise your game if you know what you're doing.

Yeah, I use them...can really give you an edge. I particularly like having my full backs go forward and overlap the wide midfielders...this was an awesome tactic on PES4 and just tonight I have scored a couple of cool diving headers on PES5 using full backs to cross. Not as easy to score at crosses as it used to be, so far at least. I also found it useful to check the individual defending ratings as some teams were retarded and had strikers playing high or medium defence and hanging about the halfway line or deeper...obviously detracting from scoring potential as they often didn't get forward enough. So, yeah, the individual tactics are something to pay attention to in my opinion.

ye, i use em aswell. My m8 plays with a winger system so i have to keep my defenders back all the time + man marking his wingers, otha wise he gets round the back too easy
