I'm pretty bored with UFCU 2010. Mainly because it doesnt give you the freedom and array of moves that you see in real life. Whilst the ground game is pretty good, its flawed and we all know how hard it is to get out of a submission.
I dont think this game that EA are developing will be 'the best' but they have the better basis to make a game like this. They've made the award winning Fight Night titles and they are very good in terms of realism and capturing fighting mechanics. Whilst THQ on the other hand have based their game on the Wrestling series and if you play UFC 2010 you feel that coming into place. If there is a developer who can capture sports motion, its EA. They've been doing this for years.
The only thing that will prevent people from buying this is the selection of fighters. A lot of them dont fight in the UFC but are known outside of the organisation. I feel this will be that case for many years to come. Like how FIFA used to have all the fancy licenses whilst PES had the better gameplay. It wont matter though, having the chance to fight as Couture, Fedor, the Shamrocks, Sylvia, Rutten, Randleman, Militich has me wetting myself. Dana White can fuck off.
