EU title on US PS3

I've heard that I could purchase a EU version of the game and play it on my US bought PS3. I didn't think it was possible because of PAL vs NTSC. Though the PS3 does play many formats.

I'm asking this because then I could take advantage of the numerous EU option files for the upcoming release and this years.

If anyone has experience or knowledge of this please let me know.

Yeah it works, but only in a HDTV, a NTSC SDTV wont support a PAL signal, even if it comes from a ps3.

Yeah, didn't think of that. Glad I'll be getting my Sony Bravia by the time 09 is released then.

i use a sdtv and it works fine.........u dont need hdtv.

I can surely wait two weeks for anything. However, I've noticed that most of the option files that are being written are for EU versions. I'm interested in teams from the Championship, & Bundesliga etc. Many of the USA versions have Mexican, Brazilian, & MLS teams. It seems that there are many more option file writers that are using the
EU version.
