Hey people! announcement! whoevers interested in this tournament plz read the following. For any questions/additional info about this tournament u can send a private message to t1000v2.0, because hes the one makin it. I was asking him about the tournament and this is what he told me:
It's not played online. the matches are simulated based on the formations, squad and tactics that you enter. See, what will happen is, that you'll email me your team line up and tactics, once you know what players are available to you. So say you have control of France, and someone else has control of England. (when I say control i mean virtual control, you are the manager, and are in charge of all the setting up) You pick your team, the other guy picks his team. Set the tactics, get all that emailed to me, I will then set it up on my version of the game. Then, let the computer simulate that match, the match details and scorelines I will write up, and also record the goals scored, and post them up as viewable movie clips. Then basically this goes on, until we get to the later stages etc etc. The group tables and then knockout stage will be updated as according to results. All that will be on my site.
At the moment, I am just downloading the new euro 2004 kits for the teams, if you know any useful sites where I can get kit patches, balls etc, please let me know..I still need to find the euro 2004 adidas ball..you know, the silver and black one. i've got the adboards already and a few of the main kits. Anyway, if this still sounds interesting to you, then cool. Infact, if you can post this up on the forum, also the first message I just wrote, would help get the interest back.
As soon as I am set, we'll have the draw, so your names will go into the pot, and will determine, what team you will have. Thats the fun part!! I want to find a way of doing the draw live, I have a chat room type thing, and so if you guys tune in, you'll see as it happens, then eventually, when its done, i'll put up the results of who has what team. It's all gonna be alot of fun hopefully.
