well bro, i'm not entirely sure... ok, first, do not rename the hdloader file. call it hdloader so that you can easily recognize it.

try creating to images:

1) add hdloader.elf to the files folder and don't remove any other files.

2) add hdloader.elf to the files folder and remove all ps2link .irx files, just leave boot.elf

Try both ways

now cogswap. What is it if i burn the image on the disk? Apparantly, the tutorial Raish Gave says you need it to load the exploit to the memory card where i did it with swap magic? P.S - Do I still need to create a title file?

burning just the cogswap elf to the disk won't do you much.

cogswap, on its own, needs many more files to work on its own and CDLoader is better anyways so.......

ok - im burning HDLoader in the files folder with just hdloader.elf and boot.elf. Should work now!

Alright, I got it working. Another question is now that does the PS2 allow or HDLoader allow CD/RW or DVDR/W with the swap method? Thanx!

nice, so it's workin, all right!

Here's how you swap the hdloader with your burned games:

1. Go to Install.
2. Open tray and instert Swap Magic CD for CD games and DVD for DVD games.
3. Press Continue
4. Let the system recognize the disk
5. Using a slide card or whatever you have swap the SwapMagic with your backup
6. Enter a name for it and let that shit rip!

Thanx Jumbo! I know how to do that! Ive put WE7i on THE HDD! Anyway, the question of CDRW and DVDRW with swap magic.. Yay or Nay? I have a V9 PS2 which is capable of reading DVDRW.

Hey, CDRW and DVDRW have nothing to do with swap magic, it's your laser that does.

The newer models, such as your v9, should be capable of reading from RW disks. I think all starting with v7+ can.

You just have to try that on your own and let us know. I don't those disks.

Im gonna pick up a CDRW tonight. Hopefullly, i never have to waste a dsik for WE7i Again!

Sorry for the double post, jag can you tell me how you got the exploit to work, as I dont want to fall into trouble. And if you want to play a game already installed in the HD, you dont need to swap right?

It will heat up but only up to a certain temp. If your worried Ash Bro, get a USB external fan for the front of your PS2.
