Experience points

I have read the manual but I would be interested to find out why the majority of my players (the guys you start a master league with) do not gain any experience except maybe 1 or 2. I have some older players like Marcelino, Seedorf, Okocha and Nakata and they never gain points.

Do I need to score goals galore for these players to get experience points or is it because they are old.

Also does regulate condition (training) jus improve the players fatigue and general match condition or does it contribute to experience points?

Any advice is much appreciated and definitely needed :D

Go to the development page in master league and check out your players development curve (red line). It also gives you a vertical line which says there present time. if the red line is going down where there present is then there stats will decrease.
All players have different development curves, for example C.Ronaldo only develops from the start of master league to age 19 or 20 because hes and early peaker.

And for the regulate condition, this only changes your players condition like it says. conditon being the red, orange, green, blue and black arrows in the formation screen. So it doesnt change your players improvement in there abilitys.

This is not exactly true. The red, orange, green, blue and black arrows have nothing to do with condition, but with form. If it's red, a player has great form, if it's blue a player is out of form.

Condition is measured with the green line. Regulate condition only has effect on this green line and not on the form-arrows.

Also, age has to do with the experience points. Young players do not have much experience, so they get more progress. Older players go down in points.

Erm... isn't that exactly wrong though? Regulate condition only changes the green/orange/etc arrows, but doesn't affect the green line (built up fatigue).

i think regulate condition does slow down the green bars decreasing, so your players take a lot longer to run out of steam
