Exploiting the games failings

Why oh why has pes copied fifa & put the worst feature of that game in the latest title? The exploitation of extremely accurate long through ball passes (airborne or ground) into super fast players such as robben, neymar , Ronaldo etc just completely spoils the game especially against a fomation with 3 forwards! Ive played people who have beaten me by 7 or 8 goals simply by using this tactic, it very rarely works in real football so why is it so easy to do here? Ive been a pes player ever since international superstar soccer but after very disapointing online experiences i eventually moved over to the dark side in 2011 and purchased fifa, i grew to hate the game so much because of players exploiting the long through ball in 2014 i didnt have a football game to play! When i heard the king was back in 2015 i was very exited & bought it immediately, i only really played my brother on that 1 so i was'nt aware of the game having this problem but i'm sure those passes got cut out by a defender much easier, now I'm starting to feel i don't want to play online.

I think through-ball spam has been an issue in most PES games. In regards to PES being similar to FIFA I completely agree, in fact I believe that the behaviour both companies (EA and Konami) could be compared to that of supermarket chains in that they both end up doing the same things to stop the other from gaining an advantage. Over the years I have seen PES become more FIFA-like and FIFA become more PES-like and now they are very similar.

Getting back to your question, I feel the same. I am so tired of the same problems existing in each game and although I keep praying that another company will make a football game so I can try something new I don't think it will happen anytime soon. I too am very close to being without a football game too, PES 16 looks great but I just don't like how it plays, everything feels far too automated at times and I'm just getting sick of it.

I am convinced that Konami are making their newer editions of PES with the younger audiences in mind and because these people are more easily pleased than the older generation it creates a huge problem when trying to push for changes because on one hand, you have some who find no problem with the game (i.e. the same people who are convinced by companies such as IGN and GameSpot - who simply get paid to hand out 9/10 ratings and other awards to these games by those companies in question), whereas on the other you have people who have played the previous titles developing an awareness of issues that they hope get addressed in the next upcoming version, which never happens.

So for all the graphical improvements and (so called) interactive improvements the core problems of PES game remain. Namely, periodic AI interference on your controls/players and not having complete control over what you do with the ball (i.e. limited pathing). Everything else is purely cosmetic and personally I could easily do without things such as official licensing, goalkeepers without their proper away gloves or consistent stadium architecture, etc., etc., if I was playing PES with the above changes.

I haven't played 16 now in a few days and tbh I don't see the urge coming back. People can get excited about the patch but if the past is anything to go by the things that I would like to see changed (i.e. above) will not be addressed.
