The Boss
Manager Zone is a massive online football management game.
Imagine playing Championship Manager, in a real time environment, along with 400,000+ other players. Compete with the likes of Brazil and Argentina members. Partake in official cups to win some cool prizes.
You can name your own team, design the kit, pick a sponsor, and then start on modifying your tactics for your upcoming league games.
You can even watch your team in full 3D glory, with only a Java update needed. I have attached a couple of screenshots of the 3D Live feature in this post. Just to whet your appetites.

You get 16 players to start with (I think its 16), goto Clubhouse>Players to see their attributes. You will have to determine what positions you think is best for that player. So say you had a player with 6 keeping (you'd be lucky first off), he would be better in Goalkeeping than a player with say, 4 keeping.
Lots of different factors come into play in the positions, but the basics are all you really need to know.
Keeping = Goalkeeper
Tackling = Defender
Passing = Midfielder
Shooting = Striker
I dont recommend anyone buying players yet, its a near fatal mistake. Read the forums (Manager Zone) and find out how much you will need to build on your stadium, spend the first season trying to sort out your stadium, as this is your best source of income. After a season, you will know your players better and your team better, and will have a more improved understanding of what your team needs in a player. So dont rush into the transfer market just yet.
You have to activate the account before you get started in the transfer market, which acts as a sort of 'no bounds area' for the immediate 'newbies' as well as a deterrent for cheaters who do the classic CM cheat of taking over another team, as this is strictly forbidden and you will have guys like me strip you of your account if you attempt to cheat
But I recommend you all start on the basics first, and just read up on the game in the forums, and find out what you need to do with your stadiums
