Fifa Soccer 2005

Great soccer players need a great first touch—and the same is now true for gamers with FIFA Soccer 2005. Using an all-new fluid player kinetic system, a player’s first touch becomes a key advantage for players who can think quickly and act fast to outsmart the competition. An all-new animation system reacts to every button press with authentic responsiveness, directly translating to the speed and vision of the world’s greatest players.

With more than 350 official team and league licenses from around the world, more than 12,000 officially licensed players, an enhanced Career Mode, and EA SPORTS Online play* (PlayStation 2 console only), FIFA Soccer 2005 is the only complete, authentic, and intelligent soccer experience.

Key Features

* A Great Player Needs a Great First Touch: A quality first touch—intrinsic to the sport itself—is the essential trait that separates good players from great players on the soccer pitch. Improved button and control sensitivity provides an authentic first touch for users of FIFA Soccer 2005. Using the fluid player kinetic system, soccer’s most important skill has been revamped to give the most responsive and rewarding control system to date.

* Added Gameplay Depth: Off the Ball™ Control is fine tuned and better than ever in FIFA Soccer 2005. Take command of players not in possession of the ball by calling in tackles, jostling for space, and sending your teammates on runs as you control the pitch. Movement on throw-ins has also been added to enhance authenticity.

* The Absolute Broadcast: With new in-game camera angles, smooth cut sequences for replays, and improved contrast and lighting for players and stadiums, FIFA Soccer 2005 has the look and feel of an authentic television broadcast experience. Add in authentic crowd chants from officially licensed stadiums—both large and small—and FIFA Soccer 2005 offers the most immersive experience available.

* Deeper Career Mode: FIFA Soccer 2005’s deep Career Mode tests your skills both on the pitch and in the front office. Build your franchise and guide your club to the Championship.

* The World’s Ultimate Roster: More than 350 official team and league licenses from around the world—including 20 leagues and 40 national teams—and more than 12,000 licensed players are available. From the fast pace of Europe’s super leagues to up-and-coming teams in the lower divisions, FIFA Soccer 2005 provides the most authentic selection of the world’s top teams, players, and environments.

* EA SPORTS Online: EA SPORTS Online for the PlayStation 2 console allows users to play online against opponents from around the country. An online lobby area allows gamers to meet, greet, chat, set up tournaments, download roster updates, and play FIFA Soccer 2005 head-to-head. Make it to the top, and then try to maintain your place as the best gamer anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

These screenies are probably from XBox one. This is not the final one as Arsenal's kit has not changed yet, so I think the engine has been tweaked and the BETA version is out for testers. It is just a demo though. Isn't it a bit early for it to already have a review?

Am i the only one that thinks the Fifa graphics are shite?

They are not dimensionally correct, you can see the polygons, might aswell be made out of cubes and whatnot.

Always nice to see the 2-D crowd aswell.

the stadiums look good but the players don't

What is Milans number 13 doing? And why is that juve player's head on fire?

everything looks the same... deja vu anyone??

that first touch thing looks crap, just another 'special feature' which is already in pes, just not noticed so much and there is not so much hype about it.

Well and whydo so many people say FIFA gfx are better than Pro Evo? When it's not, they go to all the trouble getting lisences, but the kits look blurred. The only good thing though are the stadiums in gfx. PRO EVO RULES!!!!!

not very impressive really considering FIFA prides itself on it's graphical presentation.

staduims are AWESOME, and the camera angles that show them are fantastic, players are crappy but what if fifa will offer a better gameplay we won't lose anything we will just play it next to PES and then the competition between the Konami and EA will be tougher and they will offer us even better games so i don't think we got anything to lose

It's fifa, so no worries there mate.
lol i know what you mean every year promise after promise, off the ball is shitty anyways i prefer regular through balls IMO, players are so hard to control it's like i am controling robots, so i think this news about fifa doesn't introduce anything new and the environments are so dark i don't know why

I totally agree, the players don't look like they're actually there, they look like they've been stuck on to the background. same old same old.

The very fact this is a 'key feature' shows just how far behind FIFA still is.

In saying that however, FIFA has come a long way in the last few years. This version looks really good, as far as I'm concerned anyway. The heads still don't look quite right though. The stadiums look great though, but they should have 3d crowd already, must be some lazy developers over in FIFA-land.

And LOL at GaryG's comments...

Those graphics will not be the final ones i can assure ppl of that, It was prob tested on a low spec pc and some of thos are from fifa2004, The ones with the real boots are from 2005. Euro2004 i heard was alot better than FIFA2004, So this should be better, Every year EA make a better FIFA, So i can't complain :)

Has anyone else noticed how fake the f50s are on the ipswich/norwich screen. There isnt even a bit of yellow on them.
The stadiums are the only good thing about fifa and the amount of teams

As Giggsy said (hopes) they best be on a low spec machine because us lot would have a field day on them if they turned out to be in the final version.

Pes bettur in everyfink bar making poo games, adverts and watering cans digest readers weekly poll on straws, bendy or straight?

:buh?:
