Been lurking round the forums for weeks now looking forward to pes2014 and I'm court in two minds over what platform to get the new pes on, I've always had it on ps2/ps3/xbox/360.. the usual ones.

but recently I've ordered a decent gaming laptop and I've been looking at pc patches on the forum and they seem to make the game look so much better, so basically is it worth getting it on my new laptop just for the aesthetics of a PC patch?

Thanks!

I've always been PC until recently. It's definitely better in terms of editing, and also visuals/framerates are supposedly better. So if that's what means the most to you, definitely go for PC. However, the reason i'm switching is because it's just so unsocial. The online is awful compared to the consoles and you'll need a PC controller or suffer using the keyboard, and also it's only one player as I never seemed to be able to register any more than 1 keyboard/controller combo. So if you're fine playing against AI by yourself and never having another soul experience your hard edit work then fine. I love editing so it's going to be really strange trying to do it on a console for me. So much more difficult, and i'm going to need a laptop or something to reference all the editing sites whilst using the PS3.

Ok thanks for replying mate, to be honest il only be using patches that other users submit online at first because I've never had a proper go at it apart from the in and editor on the 360, you make it sound pretty fun though so il have to have a go at it myself. Also as for using the keyboard I've read somewhere that I can use my 360 controller if I buy some sort of windows sensor. What spec was your computer/laptop that you used to play pes on? cheers.

I don't think it works on any regardless of spec without some software running in the background or some overly complicated process to get multiple controllers to register. I looked into it, and it sounded daunting and confusing.

don't think I will really bother using multiple controllers, all my friends have give up on pes since it went downhill, so just me alone!

as for your spec on your computer I just wanted to know what you had and how the performance was whilst playing pes..

Intel Core 2 Due @ 3GHz
3.25GB RAM

No idea what that means, hope it helped. It worked fine, better than i've seen it on my mate's PS3 where it sometimes lags a bit going into replays and things.
