Erm, not so sure Rossy Boy unless you mention some of the leagues you're not interested in / interested. Don't manage any other Prem team dude :ninja: Could manage someone like Marseille or Werder Bremen or Sporting Lisbon? In a similar situation to what Arsenal are really - in the Champions League and a prestigious club, but quite a big task to guide them to domestic glory. Depends what sort of challenge you fancy? You into splashing the bucks or going it the 'Arsene way':smug:?

I'm a FM lover but I just can't get the time to go on this, as much as I want to.

For some reason, I start a file with Arsenal then I get bored of it pretty quickly  No idea why, I shouldn't with all the excellent youth players and that. I guess it wouldn't be too boring I tried switching the squad a little (get rid of Adebayor, Gallas and bring in some other players - Hangeland :w00t)

I might try starting one with a European club (pretty top in their country) and transforming them. AC Milan looks a realistic choice, make the squad more youthful lol.

Any ideas guys?

Right, I've started a game with AC Milan, some slight changes in the Transfer Window: Terminated Shevchenko's loan deal to get the wage bill sorted, then sold Kalac and brought in Mamadou Sakho and Rafael from Man Utd (2 great players for years to come).

Next summer will be a big clear-out, replacing old with new - if I get that far. :ninja: I tried getting rid of Jankulovski but the only clubs interested wanted him on loan 50% wages so I decided not to go through with it. No-one was interested in Emerson. Meh.

I'm retraining Ronaldinho so he can play up front, he has 15 finishing which is good and my formation is a 4-4-2 narrow diamond (Pirlo; Flamini-Gattuso; Seedorf) so no room for Ronaldinho down the left.

Kaka is injured currently, but will be back in a few weeks.

I'll keep you updated. Ciao ;)

Fuck this Shit

The new patch is shit
:realmad:
I have about 100 shots a game yet only 3 are on target, even with frank Lampard (17 finishing), David Villa (19) and Didier Drogba (18). This shit fucking gay.

The year is 2012, the date 1st of June. Just won the league and the cup with Ajax, in addition to beating Real Madrid on penalties for the Champions League/Cup. My assistant manager is none other than:

And soon to be one of my coaches:

Keirrison has been my striker of choice since the beginning (Huntelaar leaves in 6 months), he started off rather slow but has led the charts since.

Some of my better players or notables:

Also someone who has been touted as the next Rafael van der Vaart; but for now he's been injured a long time. Some individual awards:

The biggest players of today are still at the teams they were, some minor exceptions like Mascherano at Juventus, Berbatov and Riquelme at Man City, Moutinho at Arsenal and....Thierry Henry at Liverpool

Barcelona remains largely unchanged as far as starting eleven goes, they put Demichelis in central D but it's mostly their role-players that have come and gone. My best buys have been Alex who starts at Internacional in Brazil, he's now at AC Milan; and Leo from Gremio, great defender.

River are fucking bastards.

Negotiated a fee for Falcao, then Inter match my bid and River change their mind to wanting £16.4m from me and accept Inter's bid.

I told them to get tae fuck and gave Internacional a buzz and got Walter in from them.

Keirrison was my main target, but he went to Napoli instead. Lost out on Leo Franco in similar circumstances.

Bought a few others, including Kompany, Belhadj and Musacchio. I also found a few kids thanks to my scouts. No idea on the names, couple of Uruguayans, an Argie, a Spaniard, an American and Sadick Adams, my old pal who won me the World Cup as Ghana on 08. :nath:

D'Alessandro is pissing me off. Keeps throwing his toys out the pram. It's a shame he's so good, or else he'd have had the Russotto treatment and been packing his bags off to somewhere else.

Expect a more in-depth update when I get chance to play it again. Working 9-5, then 7-12 is gash.

My current team.

My lover, Dejan. First signing in '08. Been pretty epic ever since. I'm his favoured personnel. He's vice-captain at that tender age. :nath:

Not mine, someone from the Oatcakes, but jesus.

Recently got back into FM - just in time for my end of year Uni exams, which was nice. Thankfully (kind of) my laptop went funny meaning I could concentrate on revision.

Anyway - before my game went bust, I had a game going on with Lyon, I got a lot of money from selling some big names, and buying cheaper, and arguable just as good replacements. Particularly pleased with buys such as Legrottaglie and Negredo. I won the league, and got to the semis of the Champions League.

I lost my data when my laptop went, so when I got it fixed, I chose to be Man City. I did the customary thing of signing a load of players, and I led them to UEFA Cup glory and a 3rd place league finish. Signings like Zhirkov and Srna did as well as you'd expect, but Diarra for £5m was a good buy, as was Beckham on a free. In the summer of 09 I signed Aguero, but then my game went dodgy - it froze and closed every time I tried to continue.

So I am on my third game in as many months. This time I am England, I have won every game so far, including friendlies. Up to September in 2009. I have tried to give a few new players caps, such as Michael Johnson, Ryan Shawcross and Frazier Campbell. I am hoping to do well in the World Cup, then see what domestic jobs I can get.

I think I should quit my Ajax job - I absolutely coasted through the league for the 6th time in a row with 26 wins in 26 games; 60 goals scored and only 5 against. Fucking outrageous.

Asenjo

John Goossens
Chivu
Gabriel Milito
Rafinha

Sotiris Ninis
Rouven Lange
Gojko Kacar
Arouca

Hulk (Porto, for 38m after selling Keirrison to Stuttgart for 45m)
Bojan (acquired for 105m(!) from Genoa who got him from Barca on a free in 09/10)

Some excellent regens - Peter Carter, Ferdi Hasselbaink, Jószef Rácz, some generic Brazilian names...good times. Bought Nacer Barazite from NEC for 14,25m - they got him on a free from Arsenal.

Thinking about taking up a Chinese/Japanese/American team next.

Nedved and Del Piero are both gone, the former took over as a manager at Heerenveen and the latter at Charleroi.

Arshavin, Thiago Neves, Wijnaldum, Defour, Witsel, Lucas Leiva, Riquelme, Thiago Silva...some excellent players have come through.

Got to the World Cup, but a few months before it kicked off, Sheff Wed sacked Laws and offered me the job. I couldn't say no, so I became joint manager with Wednesday and England. Saved Wednesday from relegation (only needed 2 points from 3 games). Then at the world cup, I eased through my group; beat Ivory Coast, Sweden and Iran, before beating Australia and Mexico in the knockout rounds. However, the injuries just piled up, I had Barry, Crouch, Ferdinand, Johnson all out, as well as Bentley serving a 3 match ban from the Sweden game onwards.

Played France in the semi final, and guess what... lost on penalties. Lost to Spain as well in the 3rd place play-off, although I can hardly say I was up for the 3rd place match, after the emotion of the semi final.

With Wednesday, made some excellent buys: Zheng Zhi, Paul Hayes, David James, Darren Potter, Michael Mifsud, Nabil El Zhar all on frees; Rafael and Fabio on loan; and a few other players for small sums.

Amazingly beat Birmingham, Palace and Watford, and drew with Norwich to get to 4th in the Championship.

If my game randomly just freezes the whole machine so it's impossible to do absolutely anything, would that hint that my save is corrupt? Or would it point towards something with my machine being a shitehawk?

Sweey

*RETIRED*
Could be either - depends on how long you were waiting. In one of the earlier games, perhaps even CM, my game would actually stop for five minutes on a particular date for some odd reason but then continue happily.

That happens if your pc is really shit, and/or you've played over 10 seasons. Used to happen to me with FM07.
