Formation selection for com teams

I am half way through a ML season and just want to know if I edit the formations of the com teams the main edit menu will they change in my current ML game or will I need to re-start my ML for it to change.

The main reason I want to do this is that some of the team selections are completly wrong........... Rio playing right back for Manure !!!!

I beg your pardon?
The com teams will pick they're own side whatever you change.
If you change the actual formation though I think you'll have to start again to see it in effect.
