Dear Francis,

According to your blog, you had a good and long-term chance to experince the final game of PEs2010... You'll make a declaration on Saturday which means the embargo will be lifted..

In this post;
Let us pile up all q's that we have for you.. and you to answer them starting from Saturday... Thanx a lot...
I'm going to edit it and add everyones questions to this very first post.. so repeat question will be avoided...

1- Is the gameplay slower than Demo (PES2010)
2- We2010 demo seems to have no more response issue, did u experience any in final game?
3- How many camera angles are there? is camera tilting in final build? totally is there only 3 as on demo?
4- for button configuration, is TYPE 5 (manual long pass and crosses) avaliable to select?
5- Editing options, we know untucked t-shirt is avaliable.. what about short socks etc..
6- Does final game has a SUPER STAR difficulty as WEdemo or Top-player only?
7- Any more animations than PES or WE demo?
8- Any new penalty system or as in demo?
9- How about GKs?? are they shitty again??
10- Refrees; again inconsistent or a lil more fair??
11- Any framerate issues?
12-unasisted control: not like in Pes09, there a lot automatic passes that you can not prevent in demo.. is it fixed?
13-embargo for reviews: When can we see any gamersite reviews? do u have any idea?
14- For editing; Is Base Copy back? Are interchangeable kits back? & is the ability to edit a players nationality back ?
15- GK Gloves?? Any change??
16- have the crazy bright lights been removed?
17- are crosses still over sensitive at times?
18- Which time of day the pitch&the game seems more beatiful (lightning and shadows) : day - afternoon or night?
19- simply: how does the final build compare to the WE demo? alot different or not- better or worst etc?
20- Rain .. how does it look like?? and how does it affect the gameplay?
21- on pes 2008 and 2009 u were able to choose the analog pass configuration.. it could be only analog stick or analog stick & pressing R3 (how I was using for all the time).. but in 2010 demo no way to choose it... Is it avaliable on Final build?

come on guys.. ask yours.. and I'll pile up & sort them for FRANCIS

Any framerate issues like in the demo whereby there is a pause and skip in play? Is this because too many players are in the screen at that time and is this only on the demo?

I'm a bit confused here. According to this review (of FIFA10 - I might add) in the 2nd paragraph they clearly state, that they would have loved to put the review of PES10 and FIFA10 head to head - but due the embargo - they are not allowed to mention PES10 before oct. 15th...?
How come there are different embargo's? Well, ofcourse it could be explained that Pesgaming are and official site to Konami/PES.
But as far as I can read from this review, then we won't see any reviews of PES until oct. 15th

Well, the UK-department of ign.com has also given FIFA a very impressive review (I haven't read the one from eurogamer.net - but they gave it 9/10 - so it can't be that bad I guess) - just if any were interested.

4- for button configuration, is TYPE 5 (manual long pass and crosses) avaliable to select?

Can I ask you (or anyone really) something about this ?

What's the difference between TYPE 4 and TYPE 5 or more precisely why would anyone use TYPE 5 ?

Because I think I know the difference but I'm not sure so tell me if I'm wrong.

Both types allow you to have a power gauge so it's already semi-manual I would say, but, TYPE 4 long passes and crosses, are still assisted in terms of direction/trajectory unlike TYPE 5, is that it ?

If I'm right then why use TYPE 5 at all ? Since there's L1/LB + Right stick to do 100% manual long passes and crosses anyway.. ?

In other words, why would anyone want to get rid of the TYPE 4 semi-assistance if he already has the manual technique?

I mean it's exactly like removing the through pass button and replacing it by a copy of the manual passing the right stick offers, it's useless and weird to get rid of what I see as a gameplay bonus.

Am I clear ? I'm probably missing something..:erm:

I use type 5 and 95% of my crossing is manual, either by stick or by press O with the power that I require, so I can hit the space rather than a head, if you know what i mean!

I think many sites make reviews in favor of EA games.. I already experieced it in NFS SHift.. So many great reviews, but the game was totaly a crap .. not even a next-gen game imo.. That was the only game that I bought and only played once.. So I dont trust reviews.. As far as I saw from WE-Demo, the gameplay is better and grafix are superior when u compare with FIFA... (Even wide camera angle)

join the club my friend and welcome ,i am glad that u have already seen the light and don't listen to reviews but take your own opinion much more seriously.
a few here should really give that a try.

Are the players still on rails when you give a through ball i.e. they go into comp control and yount move them until the ball is touched again?

have the crazy bright lights been removed?

are crosses still over sensitive at times?

can you challenge for headers ala FIFA? instead of the current system where whoever is at the front wins, even if its messi v lucio. The only way to win one is super cancel in front of the other player if you have time and its still not like challenging or timing the header ect. (from goalkicks and long balls not crosses)

Haha, thanks Wilmo.

I was having problems accessing the site yesterday. Maybe it was the level of traffic or simply our internet, but it's up now. I'd like to mention the fact that I never said I'd do a review - that'd mean me losing my job and getting in a lot of trouble - if the embargo info is true. When I went for the playtest there were no contracts to sign, and no mention of any embargo, but I do know that if I mention anything I experience whilst testing then I will lose my job and I can get in some seeeerious trouble.

As I've said in the new article, the WE2010 gameplay videos are what you'll find in the final game. That line alone will answer a few of the questions.

2- I don't know what you mean about the response issue, but passing in Pes 2010 feels more like Fifa with regard to how long it takes for a player to respond to your 'button pressing'!
3- There were quite a few camera angles, but I'm unsure about the tilted one. All the regular angles as on 2008/2009.
4- Sorry, I don't know about manual crosses/long balls, but crosses are very good and you really have to direct the crosses in more than previous versions.
5- No to short socks I THINK.
6- Superstar difficulty.
7- Quite a few new animations but not as many as I'd like.
9 - Really didn't like penalties, from the side. Pretty annoying but this isn't in the penalty shoot out.
9- GK's not amazing.
10- Referees seem quite inconsistent with regard to red cards and 'playing on' etc.
11 - No framerate issues.
13- Sorry, I don't know about the embargo - you'd think I d have been told when I went for the playtest but no luck... :(
18- Graphically amazing. Evening games look great, and I think there's a few new effects with the sun off the camera etc...
19 - WE demo - basically exactly the same as this. The best Pes so far but maybe not as incredible as I'd have hoped.
21- Don't know about manual passing - I don't use it!

I hope that answers a few of your questions, but as I was working whilst testing I wasn't delving too deep into edit mode or with the manual passing.

Hi Francis

Please clear up what you meant on your previous blog?

I’ll just make this quick as to not push DD’s new column down too much. I’ve been monitoring the furore surrounding the demo and I’d just like to quickly say that as I’ve been lucky enough to have tested the final game for a couple of days at work, that the demo certainly isn’t representative of the final version and you’ll all be hearing my views in my column on Saturday. I don’t understand why Konami have put out such a sub-par demo out; it’s older than the code Dougie and I tested two months ago so I can’t help but wonder why it’s been released as it’s certainly not representative of final gameplay.

I just dont get this! And now he is saying:

A. The WE and PES Demo are the same

and

B. The Final Game is the same as the WE Demo!

WTF Im very confused

Why can't anyone actually stop whining and wait to play/rent the game and form their own opinions on it? Is that so hard? Christ.
