My review:
Full Spectrum Warrior is based on a light infantry-training simulator designed by Pandemic Studios for the U.S. Army as a tool to reinforce Army doctrine and squad tactics amongst troops. Full Spectrum Warrior is a squad-based, tactical-action game that delivers the experience of squad level command in the heat of battle. The product was developed with expertise from University of Southern California's Institute for Creative Technologies, which worked with Pandemic to bring state-of-the-art technology to the game. Designed to simulate today's challenges of urban combat missions, Full Spectrum Warrior delivers a level of realism and accuracy that has never been seen in a military-based game.
The Graphics: They are great and realistic, they are crisp and Clear, everything seems real! this is thanks to Half-life's "Havoc engine" this is where anything on the screen can be interacted with eg: Blown up or used for taking cover from the enemies gun shots.
The Sound: The sound on this Game is GREAT! When in a cross- Street Gun fight with the Terrorist's in Iraq you think that you are really there, due to the realistic gun shots and decaying surrounding's where the gun shots have hit. Also, the two teams which you control, Bravo and Alpha, there are 4 Soldiers in each Squadran and they all have there individual personallity's which react in different situations, depending on how the Soldier feel at the moment in time. I really like how realistic it is when the troops start swearing at each other and tell them what to do!
The Missions: They arn't to difficult up to now (Im on Chapter 4) but each Chapter has 6 Levels on it! There are about 105 missions to conquar and they last for about 20 minutes on each Level, so this Game will keep you occupied for a bout a month or two.
Controling your Soldiers seems hard when I first got this Game but after I did 5 missions of intense Training, including, movement, covering, Gun fights, weaponairy and a real mission. The main point of this game is to keep your Squad alive and eliminate any resistance along the way to your objective's, to do this you always need to keep your Soldiers in cover eg: Behind cars, walls, dust bin's even the odd dead cow!
The only bad point is that, when you are directing the cursor to tell your Solidiers where to go, the cursor cannot go though objects, you have you go round them! This seems like nothing but when you have to move your men quickly to get them in cover and move away from the emiemies fire it is hard to dodge the objects, this really is being picky because this is a great Game!!
I would rate it 8/10
