Pes2010 is far best soccer game I've ever played.. It is really difficult to master but the reality factor and simulation roots makes the game totally AWESOME.. I got it on last Thursday and countinously played it for the weekend..
I edit GKs... I increased their RESPONSE by +5 and GK abilities by +10 then no more GK issue.. also I lowered all payers short pass speed by -10 which gave the game a superb pace which I really wished to have..

But there is only one thing that bothers me... (which can not be edited...!!)
Refrees :(((((((

They are totally inconsistent.. In latest versions they were unfair in CARDs but not in fouls.. Unfortunately on PES2010, you'll get angry that Refrees are not giving any... Even opponent slides to you and no contact with ball.. They dont give a foul.. It makes me so angry...

Everything is perfect but refree stuff is so cheap.. I hope it will be fixed with a patch in near future, if it is the game will deserve a 95/100 definetaly...

The best answer and perhaps the most optimistic answer is that the refereeing is a work in progress. IMO, PES 2009 had some horrific refereeing, most tackles were red cards. It seems that Konami tried to address this issue and went far too forward and allowed crazy tackles to be unchallenged by the referee. Now any tackle from behind, no matter how soft will result in a card. I guess we have to get used to it for now until they find out another method =/

^I think yes you can because pes edit mode is almost unlimited.:) You can edit what you want in it.

hmm really?!

thats pretty good mang. i have never really noticed this before...

so i can make most goalies pretty decent? i wonder if the option files will already have improved kippers?

edit, also one of my favourite lame tactics that my 'cross of doom' opponent hates is when i slide tackle all of his players OFF the ball, leaving him no passes to make.. and the ref never blows for them.. eh eh eh..has this been fixed?

I have two questions:

*Is this the PC version or PS3?

*And do you have to edit ALL the GKs and players in the game???
That would mean like 1000 or more players!!!!

Ye i have never been impressed with refs, some decisions are good but some are just shockingly bad, and i have had a few angry games because of refs.

Lol, I remember on PES2008, me & my m8 were playin, he dived in the penalty area with Luca Toni (surprise surprise)... two of my players dived in, one making contact, and the other not... the one who didnt touch him got sent off. Such decisions are annoying, but are not unexpected in the real game. Whilst we all want consistency from officials in PES and in real-life, we're just not getting it.

Thats all good, but when you play online it'll be unrealistic again...

^ I think so too. Only played 3-4 matches online in pes 09. Hated it. But i'll give it a chance this year to see if they've improved. As to the refs i would like to see some variety as well. Like in pes 6 where we could choose between different refs and they had different ways of tolerating tackles etc. Brilliant.

The refereeing in pes has always been suspect to criticism. I like them though for the most part in 2010. When you dive in at a player from close range your player wins the ball most times even though your taking out the guy out aswell but the ref lets play go on which i like.

1 time on the online demo it was the 84th min, it was 1-1 and Benzema was in a 1on1. Puyol totally took me out from behind and it was so blatent and what did the ref do? Nothing! He let play go on even though puyol got nowhere near the fucking ball! He just took me out on purpose and nothing else. Shocking and very annoying.

Yeah expecially in the crucial moments the refs seem to fail. When the last defender takes the striker out from behind sometimes it only gives yellow card etc. And as you mentioned^ other times they even let the play continue.
